  1. Woah, Target was around back then? I don't think I even became aware of them until the mid-90's!

    Krull

You can find the full movie online pretty easily. Just Google, "Krull full movie."
  3. Well, it did win a lot of awards when it was originally released, so it's not all the Jaguar's doing. How about this: There was a Top 100 PC games of all time done a few months back. Guess what game was NOT on it? Tetris. One of the greatest, if not THE greatest game ever made and it was totally left off the list. So, if that could happen to Tetris, surely it can happen to Tempest 2000. My contention is that Tempest 2000 is one of the greatest games ever made because of how it makes the player FEEL. When I play it, I feel powerful. It takes you to a different state of mind, "In the Zone" some people call it. Not many games do that.
  4. Me neither. This is the only time I'd rather watch the commercials than the main event.
  5. A Jaguar running Llamatron will be the greatest thing ever!
  6. Yes, so they kinda got what was coming to them when the whole thing crashed. Perhaps this is a lesson for future businesses to be more cautious when things start going gangbusters?
  7. I think i fried my Genesis years ago by trying a Jaguar power supply. So, I'd avoid using any PS that wasn't specifically made for the system.
  8. If 2600 Pac-Man was called something else, "Munch 'n' Dash" or something, people would say it was a good game. But for the simple reason that it's not similar enough to the arcade Pac-Man, it's automatically labeled as "bad." I've never understood this logic... The game is good or bad no matter what it's called. Frankly, 2600 Pac-Man is a pretty decent game. It's definitely in the top 50% (or better) of 2600 games.
  9. Nope, I tried several days later on the Xbox and it worked. Totally not worth the wait though.
  10. I pretty much watch the review for the REVIEWER, not so much the game anymore. CGR and LGR (Lazy Game Reviews) are funny and informative. And AVGN has lost some of his over-the-top humor, but I still enjoy watching him (and when he does his James & Mike Play videos.) Oh, and Game Sack is pretty great too.
  11. Like mos6507 said, I felt betrayed. How could Atari make games for other competing systems!? But at the same time, I was immensley proud that they were able to make games better than the originators of the system. Colecovision Defender for example has better scrolling than most CV games.
  12. I did basically the same thing. My son started with the 2600/7800. Then the NES (which is in his bedroom now) and then Wii and now Xbox 360. If my Genesis was working I'd have slipped that in there too, but we've gotten a lot of mileage from the Sonic collection on Xbox.
  13. If you want to be Ultra-cool, yes. Get a Jaguar.
  14. Haha, Kangaroo is one of my all-time favorites! The controls mimic the arcade, so don't fault the 2600 for that. Plus it's just so much fun punching those monkeys!
  15. I'm sad by the news, but also glad he lived a long life and gave us so many memories.
  16. Did someone say Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters was practically done? I'd have given my right arm for that! All the Atari Games era games should have made it. Space Lords, T-MEK, Blasteroids, Indiana Jones, Shuuz (love that one), Skull & Crossbones, Guardians of the Hood, Thunderjaws, Toobin, Vindicators, 720, etc.
  17. Haven't been able to watch it. Silverlight won't play on my PC and my Xbox just wants to update Xbox Video over and over... Will be looking for a Torrent I guess.
  18. Haha, well, I wasn't really meaning to port it like the DS version. I meant, "The DS has a version, the Jag should too!" Meaning someone could create a version that would work. Even if it were Gouraud shaded instead of textured and lower poly counts it would be a worthwhile endeavor.
  19. I think Quake could be done, albeit in a more limited manner than the PC version. Shoot, someone ported Quake 1 and 2 to the Nintendo DS, why not the Jag?! http://quake.drunkencoders.com/index_q1.html
  20. Just about every Warner Bros. movie of that era had Atari stuff in it.
  21. It's a pretty easy game... I think I beat it in one sitting back in the day.
