  1. wow don't get hasty there. Dodgeball is a totally different catagory.
  2. There are only like 2000 copies of each one. Check out the Store FYE in their used section. My brother scored them both yesterday for 30 dollars each
  3. I'm more of the opinion that if you want to play sports get some friends together and play'em. Simulation just aren't the samething
  4. I'm currently working on a project in class where we have to talk to professional illustrators. My market I chose to research was video games. If anybody can talk to me or get me incontact with some body I will forever be in your debt.
  5. The DS is the perfect system to release their arcade classics out now. Double screens simulate the vertical and we can all finally have an arcade perfect donkey kong.
  6. So for the grand total of $275 I can have a PSP that will be able to last for an entire trip in a car or plane. Thats without a game too. So we are looking at $300+ for a PSP with the ability to last an entire plane trip or car ride... actually I havn't heard how much it improves battery life so it might still not last that long. Also The primary portable market is still kids and they have much more than 3 hrs. a day to play. I really don't understand this gamegear being a bad comparison. At the time the gameboy games had terrible graphics, screen, 4 colors and they were ugly colors at that. Gamegear was a super shiny crazy thing with a billion colors and a tv tuner(primary media at the time). Sure the gamegear was relativly successful and I'm sure the PSP will be. However that battery life thing is what makes portables portable. NOTHING ELSE.
  7. Case closed. This always makes or breaks a portable.
  8. anyone interested in any of these games n64-- mario party 2 and 3, bomberman 64, snes-- lion king, jungle book, zelda a link to the past, paperboy 2, How 23 dollars shipped. how's that?
  9. Yes Ghost N' Goblins also murdered me. However it didn't stop there. It dug up my corpse chopped it up, and made some sort of Frankenstein Creature. Still tryin' to find my left Buttock. However, another game that's up that alley is MDK2. I got all the way to the end and the save file currupted at Zizzybaluba. Now if you've played this game you know how heart breaking that is. So I payed my brother 20 or 50 bucks or something to get back where I was.
  10. Actually I think Pokemon made it re-huge which was really cool. Stuff like that rarely happens. (funny anybody notice that most kids just bought both verisions of the game and rarely shared with their friends.) Some body please tell me about the battery life.
  11. I recently upgraded to mame32 9.2 or whatever new one. But when I updated I lost the speed cheat for jr. pacman, plus pacman and Ms. PAcman have some sort of worthless 2x speed crap. I already tried turning the cheats back on but it didn't do anything. Can some one help me I just hate speed up less pacman.
  12. Man o man Funstop NH my next vacation. Anyone been there?
  13. Wow, Thanks Dr. Galaga that was just the perscription I needed. (sorry corny) seems to be updated pretty well too. Funny I didn't find the site because this summer I spent hours looking for great arcades to go to on my vacation but couldn't find anything. Luckily I figured the Jersey shore must of had one so after a useless stop at point Pleasent I found Flashbacks at Seaside Heights. Beautful place I took pictures of nearly every arcade.
  14. funny for about 5 minutes. I love Atari Systems but the Jag just rubs me the wrong way. Also I got this brother who will play Iron Soldier for hours and never stop. However, I will say that it's got a Wolfenstein that is Bar None to all others.
  15. Ok ofter seeing that video of the arcades, I'm so angry I was 1 in 1984. But I want to try and see if anybody can help me. I know there are many Classic arcades like that out there we just are not aware of them. For instance Flashbacks at Seaside Heights in New Jersey is a great place. They have about 30 or so old arcades. They add to the atmosphere with 80's movie posters and 80's music. Now I figure there must be more places like this. I really think Atari age should have a list of these places. So that they can be frequented as much as possible and there for won't dissapear. I currently live in Syracuse Ny, The only classic arcade I got are 1 Ms. Pacman Machine at Christiano's Pizza in Herkimer, NY and Space invaders at Altered States Comic shop here in Syracuse. What I want here is people to list places they know of With classic ARcades and I'll attempt ot compile a list. And if any body can hint me to more in the Syracuse/ Utica Area please I need'em. Bars, Bowling alleys anything.
  16. Well, I'm partial to the Gameboy ones. Of course then again I've only ever finished those 3 and the snes one. I would have to say any is a great place to start and if you want something in the middle Link's awakening is great. Lots of stuff to find, Miniquest galore and more fun than bob Sagat in a blender
  17. Yeah you won't beleive how much fun multiplayer games are when you have at least two brothers handy. I can't even imagine how single children play games. I think that defines the RPG lover vs. The multiplayign lovers
  18. Sonic 2 was a mail in when it first came out. When you bought a genny you could mail for a free sonic 2.
  19. spider fighter Pac man Jr. Space invaders basically any game that contains points
  20. If you want to give tapper a good home I'll take off your hands. Pm me if you you have a price. Also what else do you have?
  21. I like it. I've found that almost every donation thrift shop has their own pricing system. AT the salvation army in Syracuse they charge more for systems without a box than with one.
  22. When I was young I had a genny and hated nintendo. (soured due to the fact that all three of my nes systems broke fairly quickley). However, I always secretly felt that snes graphics looked better in magazines. The colors had a higher count so the stills of games that were on both systems looked better. Well that was true until I actually got a SNES. Once I finally owned a Snes I found my self with choppier frame rates and slow speeds due to the fact of the slower CPU. I hated it. Now adays however both have their charm. Genesis had Sonic, Shinning force (the only RPG I really like) and a bunch of other fast action games I love. However Snes has MEgaman x. Well you just can't beat that. My only gripe currently with the Snes is the games seem to be harder to find and much more expensive.
  23. This is a very very good question. For the longest time My brothers and I were in the world of selling. In which everything we bought would go on Ebay. Figured "eh it's on the dreamcast" but then suddenly we felt it was so much more fun to play these games for real. Now we have lots of games but still the question remains if I had a game like BBB is it worth it to own it. I my self would sell it as it is neither official, good, or tasteful (well that could be argued). I mean why have a 200 dollar rock on your shelf if you never do anything with it. However if I got something like Mr. do's castle or Qberts cubes I would definatley keep as I would play them regularly. (2600 versions)
  24. Yeah so do I. I got the Midway volume 2 and thougth the colors on the arcade robotron are too similar and it was hard to tell everything apart.
