FedEx sure likes to mark a lot of things as "delivered" when it wasn't.

They also like to give door tag numbers...which when checked on the Fedex website, phone line or app, supposedly don't exist.

FedEx Ground is abysmal, and I avoid it whenever I can. FedEx Express is fine, generally, but I don't use that nearly as often.

Had this happen over a week ago, obviously delivered to the wrong place - but luckily I opened a case, and it was found and somehow I got it!
