  1. Al, I'm happy that you are able to negotiate this acquisition by Atari without any major changes to AtariAge in the near term. Best of luck with your role at Atari!
  2. They will be for sale on the AA store as well.
  3. With AtariAge's front-page announcement of the games that will be making an appearance at PRGE, I would like to shed some light on the AWA Multicart that will be available for both the 8Bit and 5200. The A/W/A Anthology of 14 games vary from classic shoot ‘em ups, strategy games, puzzle games, maze games, and action-adventure games. These games were originally designed in the 1980's classic era of videogames, but they have been reimagined to create a modern and challenging gameplay experience. With numerous varieties of games, you will have countless hours of fun playing these games. There is even a two-player game included so you can have more fun with a game-playing friend. These games have been all refreshed since their initial beta releases in the AtariAge forums last year. Comments from the forums have been incorporated in order to improve gameplay. The 8Bit A/W/A Anthology will run on any 8Bit computer (NTSC/PAL) with a minimum of 48K RAM, and will include the following in a box: - 512K Multicart with 14 games - Instruction Manual - SD card (Source Code, Development Notes, Digital Software, Instruction Manual, Magazine Articles/Podcasts/Videos related to the A/W/A games, Games Soundtrack) - 5 1/4" Floppy Disk (Side A: Assembly games from 2023, Side B: Original Basic games from the 1980's) The 5200 A/W/A Anthology will run on any 5200, and will include the following in a box: - 512K Multicart with 14 games - Instruction Manual - SD card (Source Code, Development Notes, Digital Software, Instruction Manual, Magazine Articles/Podcasts/Videos related to the A/W/A games, Games Soundtrack) The multicart will include a game-launching menu and will include the following games: Alien Assault - Missiles rain down from space onto satellites that must be protected by a laser cannon at a central base. Kooky Diver - Swim from your boat to the ocean floor, retrieve a treasure from a giant clam, and swim back to return it to your boat. Kooky Klimber - Climb skyscrapers while avoiding closing windows, falling dumbbells, dropped flower pots, and falling signs. Kooky’s Quest - Trapped in an evil dungeon, your only hope of escaping is to fight monsters and get treasure in the deepest level. Night Rescue - You are on a daring attempt to rescue civilians with your hot air balloon before they are taken prisoner. Overflow - You are a plumber trapped in the central conduit of a network of pipes. You must fight back the water with your plunger. Piracy - The goal is to collect treasure before sustaining battle damage, being rammed, or using too much fuel. Piracy II - Gather treasure by sailing through the ocean, defeating ships guarding islands, and avoiding pirates to get the booty. Ramses’ Revenge - Race to the top of a pyramid to retrieve keys while avoiding monsters, 1 or 2 Players. Robot Dungeon - Avoid deadly robots, electric walls, and teleports. Make your way through the maze of rooms and escape the dungeon. Soko-Ban - In this addictive puzzle game, you must move all of the blocks into the landing area. Each level gets more challenging. Space Assailants - Shoot all of the invaders as they come marching toward your planet. Avoid the starfield that descends upon your ship. Yahtzee - Once the five dice are rolled, you have the option to re-roll any of your dice to improve your scores. Strategy wins. We hope that you will enjoy this new release for the 8Bits and 5200! 4. Our AWA recent homebrew game, Ramses' Revenge 2021 BC, is also a 2 player simultaneous game where you race to the top of a pyramid. https://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=8112
  5. From what I remember 40 years ago, Moon Shuttle was one of the few games that wouldn't work on OSA and required OSB. That could have only been the pirated version, though.
  6. I took the survey on my Android phone in the Chrome browser and it worked fine.
  7. This is what I used for the Windows command line.
  8. I tried loading the .wav file into Altirra, and it is really slow to load even with c device acceleration turned on. I tried converting it to a .cas file using a8cas-convert.exe and it seems to work until the very end (see attached pic). Looking at the wave file in Audacity, it looks like the ending ends fairly abruptly. The file "sounds" like a typical Atari 8bit cassette in Audacity. Maybe someone else can take a look. ambulance.cas
  9. My local arcade had both of these games around 1978-1980. S.A.M.I. was always broken! The cool Missile Command and Asteroids players would always make fun of poor old S.A.M.I. and we would purposely guess outrageous meanings for the acronym.
  10. Maybe call the phone number on the disk label and see if they can send a replacement 😉 This disk intrigues me because it has Kooky's Quest on it (co-authored by me). KQ was published in the Feb. 1985 issue of Antic, but the date on this disk label is Jan. 1985. Still waiting on the royalty check!
  11. Arex was written by John Anderson (Rally Speedway). The devil face animation when you lose was amazing!
