  1. Thanks. I don't know where i could find that in Paris for cheap tho. Will these have a long life span without repair?
  2. Hi tech side. I have a karaoke shop near me. It's selling a brand new "Sharp" branded 50cm crt for 70 euros if i pay cash. Should i bite?
  3. Update 2: I've passed the one with aspect ratio issues through an old vcr of mine since it worked for someone else in the forum and it fixed the problem and provides a slightly better picture so i guess it had to do with the unusual jag sync methods. However, the one with artifacting didn't have this hdtv reseting aspect ratio issue and the black dots stop/freeze when the game is paused (only AVP and Cybermorph) so not a vid issue.could this be damaging to the cartridges? I stopped using this one till i know more.
  4. Update: AVP and Cybermorph are the only games that do that and the cartridges fit verry tight with this one so it could a pin connection issue between the console and the games. Other than that i had a sound crash in syndicate, fixed by a reboot. Is this a known issue?
  5. I bought an old Jag but it has a weird display issue that i dont really have ways to capture (nah i don't have any cellphone/camera maybe i could try with the PS4 camera) It's a vertical line of fast blinking black dots (2 or 3 pixels wide, one pixel high), always the same place(near center right of the screen) mainly with cybermorph and AVP. I cant reproduce the same scenario with the same cables/games on an other jag, both are pal french(the othe has sync issues i think because my tv changes preset aspect ratio to default 16/9 at random but not with this one.) It works fine other than that. I modded it(60hz) to see if that could change something but no. Help.
  6. Wait, this one? https://icculus.org/virtualjaguar/
  7. Lol wait, is there a secret club or something? All i can find is 2.1.2 and it's from 2014 ?!? Yeah time goes by...
  8. Virtual Jaguar hasn't been updated in 3 years so i guess it's "unfinished". Nothing beats the ease and comfort of real hardware. Except maybe new retrocompatible hardware.
  9. I wish the Jag emulation scene was more active. There is a russian emulator out there but my computer fails to play the sound properly so i don't even know if it works as intended yet.
  10. Yeah i was impressed by the result on the vids i saw. The game is also an authorized port which makes it official and the box is really nice. I have yet to finish my playthrough on the ps4 port but it's so unforgiving i'm scared to come back.
  11. And i feel bad foy paying a hundred bucks for a boxed Avp without the overlays... Well if i was ever rich, maybe i'd pay as much... edit: Looks like another world is next...
  12. Hi btb! I'm new to the forums but i started watching some of your content ~two years ago and it gave me the impulse to buy a Jaguar once again last year. I'm having a blast... I sold my first one back then for i don't even know wat other machine... . The only console i really regretted selling and i had a lot. As a Doom/Wolfenstein fan and having discovered them on the sexy beast make these versions special. I love as much if not more than their pc counterparts: Doom's higher color depth make it look better than the dos version to me, even with half the pixels and it's creepier without music. Wolfenstein's gun sounds, the music's tone along with the mac sprites and textures... it just feels perfect even if a bit Grosse(bad pun). Anyway, the mood of your show is great and the theme/jingle is catchy as hell. I have to catch up and watch the rest but i want to make it last. It's relaxing to watch. Oh and you your Tempest 2000 episode came back in my mind each time i passed by Tempest 2000. I bought it I mean either way i couldn't make a new jag library without this game and its haunting music... It arrives in a week along with syndicate...
  13. VR is not for everyone(sim-sickness) but if one get past it, it really is worth it. Resident Evil is very enjoyable with it for example(and legit AAA game value). "Thumper" can scratch some retro itch while looking sophisticated also. Be careful with glasses, they scratch the lenses i heard.
  14. Time to go all in and make new retrocompatible hardware.
  15. I'm not literate on the subject but couldn't that be useful to homebrew developement somehow? Maybe for debugging purposes?
  16. Hi everyone! Made an account just for this. I don't have my original Jag anymore but i rebought one and yes, games are getting expensive. Managed to buy some mint ones but others like Rayman, i'll have to pass There is also the Jag-CD issue that could be resolved by this catridge. I'd love to replay Myst on the Jag this time. Iron soldier 2 and Battlemorph look amazing too...
