  1. I decided a long time ago that 320 modes are a bit like my wife shopping....best left alone and nothing good will come from me getting involved.
  2. My first thought is "which emulator" - not all emulators are created equally
  3. I guess your decision then is which is more important, playing ARM assisted 2600 games on your 7800 or playing all the latest 7800 games on your 7800.
  4. No composite mod will get close to the RGB output of the 7800GD for quality. I have SVIDEO via UAV out on my two 7800's and they look really good (way better than composite), but the RGB out on the 7800GD is noticeably better. 7800GD works with everything pretty much and is quite future proof, Concerto has limitations.
  5. A few little updates for A.R.T.I. Since the last demo there have been a lot of changes and updates to the game engine and a new demo build is with the testing group. If everything goes ok, this will likely be the final public demo. Notable changes : Collisions improved on Egypt spike walls to be accurate. Two new traps added. They start to appear towards the end of the Aztec levels and into the Egypt levels. Laser code - you can no longer shoot enemies through walls, you have to destroy the wall first. Laser code - beasties on the other side of the screen should no longer randomly die if not struck by a laser (bug fixed - happier beasties). Dynamite can be used on any screen, not just screens with a wall (Safeties are off!). Snakes can no longer be killed when "hiding" or not visible (happier snakes). Lots and lots of code optimisations (lots) Egypt Fuse flicker, fixed to use correct colours. Dynamite code completely rewritten - dynamite is now more efficient when exploding and dynamite now kills beasties and walls, and beasties through walls. Bonus score code refined to be a little more generous with regard to remaining dynamite. The Kraken has been released... Jetpack SFX now sounds more jett-ish. Further update soon!
  6. OSSC can take component too, so it works well for upscaling.
  7. They have popped up on Amazon UK for £99
  8. I'd like see a 320 mode version. First things first.
  9. Some games are just better with a stick, in my humble opinion (Sensible Soccer on a gamepad is wrong on so many levels). Personally I feel like there is more precision with a stick for games like Ms Pac-Man and shoot em ups. I got one of these ages ago from a retro show for a few £'s and it plays well with the Mega7800. Best of both worlds, extra buttons for projects and a stick
  10. What ever it is that's going on, can you please add me to the list, or the list to be on the list. Thanks!
  11. There was another user that experienced the odd crash and again that was with the "wonderful" Rockwell CPU's.
  12. A.R.T.I. supports multi button controllers - Linky (Snes2Atari and Mega7800) Bernie & the Tower of Doom will support them in the next demo. PETSCI RObots supports Snes2Atari All of my current & future project will support SNES (via SNES2Atari) + Megadrive (via Mega7800) controllers, even if its nothing more than convenience of being able to pause from the controller.
