  1. The RTO Project is completed and works fine! if you want build yourself the flashcart, use the files on official github repository or, if you want one from the customized version that 5-11under is building, this is the right place to ask for!
  2. I rest in the opinion that a 3d printed model would be a cleaner solution as a shell, like for the original RTO:
  3. I didn't put any info on my repo, but it's the usual way for getting pcb: zipping the "gerbers" folder and submit the zip file to one online pcb producer (i usualy use jlcpcb - cheaper - and sometimes pcbway). Be aware of shipping options, some are fast but expensive!
  4. If you wanna go for diy, you'll find all you need in my GitHub s repo (linked in first post). 5 pcbs cost me less than 20 dollars included shipping from China.
  5. i think "nostalgia factor" is one of the most important... or we would all be here talking about ps5 and xbox x!
  6. I think noone will never became rich selling Intellivision's stuffs: i spent several weeks in developing RTO Cart and did it for free and only for fun, and i presume it's the same for (most of) homebrew's developer, or they had spent their time on some mobile's apps and make more money with ads royalities! I admit i don't know the Intellivision's maket, but as for many retrocomputer and retroconsole there is who spends hundreds dollars in an old CIB but horrible games, but won't never buy a new one, even if it's fantastic (like "Stop the Express", i didn't test it but found superlative other cmadruga's title i try!). So, working on, and even talking about, an asymmetric key cryptographic algorithm for a market of about 30 guys seems like a waste of time to me.
  7. Until now only a dozen guys have an RTO, but considering is the only available, i could bet than in the next years the number will reach the 300 CC3 sold and, maybe, the 600 LTO produced... 😜
  8. The two models i published on GitHub are for 1.0 and 1.1a original RTO, and don't fit the different pcb layout of the +5-11under production.
  9. Right, but it's not clear if +5-11under planned to recycle old shells or he will print new ones for his version of RTO, that's the question. As a retro lover, I'm always sad when a cartridge is sacrificed
  10. But i hope not cannibalizing others Colecovision s shells! 😂
  11. Thank but for me it's enough you remove the (c), i think you have all right to add your name, you made interesting change in layout and improve the reset handling Your reset routine is tested with Intellivision 1, too?
  12. I spent weeks in developing the RTO and give it for free for all, and i would expect that who improve the project leave it in the open hardware rules. But if 5-11under wants to build his boards and selling them, that's a market matter and may be useful for who is not able to build rto himself
  13. Good job, and nice layout! I didn't imagine you intended put the Teensy reversed! 😝 I'm afraid the copyright of an open source project is invalid, but who cares! 😜 I intentionally avoid smd IC to let everyone able to make his own RTO, but yours it is a great solution for small batch and selling them! Waiting for your progress!
  14. i'm not an expert in Intellivision (i got in this forum and in JohnPCAE's code most of the info i needed for building RTO ) but i think in ROM format it can't be given info about RAM addressing neither paging bank used in some titles like Chess or BadApple. And, the [macro] section i use for applying cheat pokes from http://www.midnightblueinternational.com/romhacks.php seems work with ROMs too, but .cfg gile is needed!
  15. Thank you! here a quick & dirty video showing it running:
  16. Thank you but already done my homework! Released in my github repo the final release 1.1 of RTO Cart:
  17. No, Rto look for bin file and cfg with same name (otherwise it use default 0.cfg). Bin file are smaller than Rom and can be easily obtained with romtobin tool given with jzintv. Anyway, you or whoever could adapt source code for adding rom support.
  18. As you can read in source code, filename is a char[46], so that's the max lenght it's read from SDCard, and the file must have a .bin extension, or is it skipped by the program. But on the Oled display it could be omitted, or changed with any flavour you like Yes, i made an initial draw of the new case, and i'm going to work on it in the next days. As usual, i'll post the final version on my github repository.
  19. For who is interested in my DIY project, here a small preview of the new 1.1a version, with reset, hack poke and "prev" button added (sorry, audio in Italian):
  20. The LTO flash features are clearly written in the manual on LTO web page: it add features like new processor command, graphics and maths emulation functions, flash RAM handling by Rom, encryption, page flipping (as is defined the ECS style) and bank switching (the intelllicart/CC3 style), ecc. Brillant, and definitely NEW. And that's why a game written for LTO will run only on LTO or jzintv.
  21. Sorry cmadruga, you're right and i'm sorry for the OT, LTO Flash and RTO multicart have their own threads. I don't know if your game will work on the RTO cart hardware, but if it's not encrypted and it use the "standard" ECS banking switching scheme, it should run fine with it.
  22. I know, but this is the "original sin" that i see in the LTO project. I don't believe in gods...
  23. Chess and Baseball are retro, and my cart support them. JLP is something new. It's a date matter, simply. But if i want play new games, i use my XBOXs or PS3... I've nothing against LTO, i like it and i'm in waiting list from an year for it! But my cart is something different, RTO is a Replica of T-cart by Ottaviani (since the name, RTO), and it's firmware could be loaded by everyone, not only from Joe for his LTO. I think that's the original sin of LTO-flash.
  24. In developing and prototyping the boards i ordered several batches (min order is 5 boards) from a note Chinese online pcb builder, and it was cheapest than buying (and sacrifice!) An old Intellivision cartridge! But someone already desoldered an intv cart and get RTO cart working (in a mess of wiring!)
  25. @wilco2009 If the project is still running, please add me to the list, thank you
