  Good question. For about 20 minutes I was receiving connection attempts that were dropped almost immediate, one after another in rapid succession, the it stopped (coincidentally at the same time I posted here). Then someone tried to login as "root". Typically, hacking a BBS could lead to the BBS dropping to a command prompt if it's not secure. Back in the 90s this used to happen to people. These days, I think they are hoping to gain access so they can spam from my server.
