Up updated the firmware. Now it selects .jcd files.
First one was not contiguous. The second file made from the Jagtopia.cdi file (as that is the only other .cdi I could readily find) came up as I believe it would.
So cool. Now to find more .cdi files to convert.

Any chance of a Mac JCD creator? No windows machine over here. Or is someone nice uploading a JCD archive somewhere? Thanks!

A combination of factors really. My main concern / goal was supporting all commercial games, and none had EEPROMs, secondly I actually have no physical space on the pcb left (!) and finally because I wanted to get it finished. It had been dragging for a long time and I really needed to get it finished or give up!
It could possibly have been feasible to simulate the EEPROM with the PIC, but at that point I really just wanted it done. The jaguar SD has support for multiple EEPROM sizes through a custom CPLD. So given my current experience it may be possible to design it with a custom chip and have space for an EEPROM. -
I've just been testing everything I'd not tested before on the current PCB as a final check before getting new boards made. Handy I did, as I've just found the UART connections meant I couldn't send data back to the Jaguar, only receive. But I have data being received over UART now, which is cool. I have a few more things to test, like I2S, INT1 interrupts and JTAG, then I'm done.
I've also made provision for an SPI WIFI module (ESP-12E) as well...
There really isn't that much more to check, but my ever shit health is really slowing me down currently.

Whats the plan for the wifi module!?

Deviceside.com 5 1/4 floppy controller to USB. Anyone know about this? Apparently able to read DOS 2 disks. With some help his software could probably be made to create ATRs. Getting hard to. Find reliable drives (USD 1050) to read old disks.
