NTSC F1 2013 Xbox 360 Complete $300
OverMuch replied to Blazing Lazers's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
PMing you. -
Jaguar, sorry. 😬
-
Less than a grand.

Yeah. He called today and told me that it sold on eBay for $3100 (true) but he was offered $10k for it (suuuuure) and he'd like to broker a deal by putting us in touch with the potential buyer. I told him I sold it already. End of discussion. I'll submit this to the registry elsewhere on A.A. and keep the damn thing.

This is the plus side! I wasn't at work yesterday, but after the auction ended, the person who sold this to me called the store and told my employee that he didn't realize the auction was still up, and asked if he could put the buyer in touch with me. This is getting ridiculous. Entertaining, but ridiculous.

Oh dear.

Update: The guy came back and I ended up buying it. Cleaned it very nicely! Most grime came off with a toothbrush and Windex. Used a bore brush and gun oil on the rusty screw. Most importantly, I got it running on my own personal CRT without the horizontal scrolling. Now I'm not sure if I want to keep it or put it on the market...

BD13 is the last game I need to complete my Jaguar collection. I'm sure lots of you have a few of these lying around, right? Looking for the CIB longbox, preferably. Also... looking to buy the manual for Fight for Life. Fight for Life Hover Strike Brutal Sports Football

Thank you very much for the reply. I'm not literate when it comes to scanline problems, though, so I'm wondering if this is going to be an issue on all modern tv's (other games display correctly on the flatscreen I tested Air Raid on), or if I hooked up to an old crt it would likely display correctly? ETA: Found the answer my question! Programming error, and it'll work on some tv's. Thanks again for the reply.

Customer just left my store. I passed on the sale. I hooked up a 2600 today and asked him to bring it in to test and that I was fairly sure of its legitimacy. Plugged it in and it started right up, but there was constant horizontal scroll, leading me to believe this is a PAL cartridge. DID Air Raid come out in a PAL format? Regardless, no amount of tweaking could get the game to display properly, so I let it go. Thanks everyone for your input!

Over in Felony Way Federal Way, baby!

I'm more interested in getting opinions on its authenticity...then we'll go from there. Personally, after seeing it and the wear and tear on it, I'm thinking it's the real deal.
-
That is indeed the one. He told me he had it listed on eBay for $8k, but didn't know what to expect because he's got zero feedback.

I run a store in the Pacific Northwest. Yesterday (my day off) a customer called and talked to one of our employees about bringing in a "rare" Atari cart. The employee reached out to me immediately and told me it was an Air Raid. The customer was told to call me personally on the next business day, as I collect Atari and am more familiar with these games than anyone in the organization. Cut to today. Customer calls back and relays the story of how it was found. He was demoing a house and found a bunch of carts in the crawlspace, Air Raid being one of them. I didn't ask how the customer found out this was valuable; I'll save that question for later. Customer IS coming into the store today, and I'd like to take pics and post them here so we can get a consensus regarding it's legitimacy. I mean, assuming it's not just PVC pipe screwed into a Defender cart. I'll update this post when I get into the nitty gritty of this potential find. I should add that I'm SUPER skeptical, and that's why I'm posting here. I'd like it to be peer reviewed. 🤔 ETA: Pics added. Customer came in along with the console (Vader model) and other cartridges that were found with this one. Cartridge is definitely aged appropriately. Seems legit to me. Thoughts?

PM'ing for 4 of those beauties. -
Ah, YOU bought them! I was looking at those all day since they went up on eBay and I just saw that the auction had ended. I hope you got them for less than the 1300 asking price, at least?

Daaaaaamn that was a good deal. Vertical lines are an easy, fix, too. Sorry I missed this one!

I added them right after I accidentally hit “submit.” Heh. PM me your details and it’s yours. -
Nothing too crazy here, but it might be interesting to the right collector. I have no use for it and can’t stand to throw stuff like this away. I’ll ship it within the US on my dime, and I t’ll be sent flat in a padded envelope.

Interested, thank you!
