  1. I dont think Byuu is trying to say that emulation is better, I think he is just responding to all the this is so much better than emulation sentiment going around. I prefer the FPGA method myself, but they both certainly have their advantages and its not right to disparage emulation blindly.
  2. I just consider the cost of it to be $230 plus $80 if you want analog outputs (making a guess for its eventual cost). I have no reservations about that price with what the early reviews are showing.
  3. Hopefully the theoretical TG16 would have a rear expansion port to use an original CD drive or an SSDS3
  4. This is great marketing. I was wondering why the embargo on reviews when they were already sold out, but this is the best marketing Ive seen in a while. It is going to induce so much FOMO
  5. Whole things doesnt make sense. Also it sucks so damn bad that he decided to drop the cash for a second one? Hate to say it but this is starting to smell a lot like trolling.
  6. I would expect that the NT mini would have a cleaner composite output, so maybe thats the difference he is seeing.
  7. Heheh I ordered one transparent and one black controller because I was thinking those would look good together . I’ll let ya know how they look when they arrive tomorrow.
  8. They would indeed be complicated, but Kevtris has proven to be uniquely talented at reverse engineering these consoles and programming FPGA. I’d imagine the only real limitation would be if the SNT’s FPGA doesn’t have enough logic cores. In that case I’m hoping he could partner with ikari to get them on the sd2snes. I guess another limitation could be his lack of time but Kevtris seems as interested in this hobby as any of the rest of us.
  9. Thanks! That makes a lot of sense. It’s connected via HDMI, but through my receiver so maybe it’s not just passing the signal through and is messing with the frame rate. I’ll play around with it or connect it directly.
  10. I got an NT mini for Xmas and love it. I am having one strange issue and am wondering if anybody else has experienced this. When using the a2600 core I have been experiencing bugs/glitches across different games. In Pac-Man Jr, ghosts become invisible randomly. In Missle Command missles and their trails will randomly pop into and out of existence. In Yars revenge the screen will randomly alternate between showing me the shield and projectiles but never at the same time. It seems like its an issue showing the sprites but I dont see any options to use to fix this. I also changed SD cards and roms thinking maybe this was a storage issue but this did not fix anything. Anybody have any thoughts on a fix? I searched as best I could and couldnt find any similar complaints from anybody else so am a tiny bit worried its something wrong with my NT mini. (Only a little though because I havent seen any issues with other cores)
