  1. For what it's worth, I'll be 56 in few weeks and wear trifocals. After saying I wasn't going to buy anything with a screen smaller than the EXP because I doubted I could see it, I ended up getting the Taito version a year ago. I've probably done over 90% of my gaming on it over the last year with the built in games and my collection of Evercade carts. I have no problem using the stretch screen option though. The Atari version is in the house, but waiting for my b-day. Must say I love thing for it's convenience and battery life.
  2. I'd get the EXP-R and sell or give the Tomb Raider cart away. $99 is a great value, in my opinion.
  3. Last new cart I bought was C64 3. I haven't had any interest in anything since then. I use my Taito Super Pocket, EXP, and 2600+ for almost all my gaming these days. I haven't touched my Switch or anything else, really, in about a year. I will be getting the Atari Super Pocket shortly.
  4. Those woodgrains are really nice. I'm just going to pick up the standard version later. Mixed feelings about not getting the woody one though now.
  5. Good point.
  6. Well, it seems Blaze has abandoned old...old-school gamers like myself. Newer generation old school is probably were the $$ is at. I still love my Evercade products. Doesn't look like I'll be getting anything new though, except the Atari Super Pocket.
  7. I wouldn't touch it. I'm so paranoid about forgeries/fraud these days. Don't care if it ends up real.
  8. This right here. My old consoles wore out years ago. I got to the point were I didn't want to mess with decaying old hardware any more. I kept my collection because I treasure the games hoping that products like the 2600+ (and Retron77) would eventually come to market. Glad that speculation paid off. On the other hand, if I still had a fully functional problem free original hardware set up, it would be a harder sell. But I'd probably still get the 2600+.
  9. I'm in the minority here, but I'd rather have more games. Better chance of finding a few I like. Plus, although I play a little bit of everything, my heart is in the pre-crash era. With the current releases skewing more toward post-crash style homebrews that I don't find interesting, plus single and duo carts, I'm afraid I'll lose interest in Evercade. I'm still on board now, I plan on picking up Indie Heroes 3 and C64 3 next month. Like I said I'm in the minority here; evidence shows what they are doing is working, and working for most tastes posting here and beyond.
  10. I've had the Taito version for a week and a half now. I play it quite a bit. I've left the full screen setting on for everything the last few days. Also, I was surprised how much I enjoy playing Space Invaders again. Didn't think I would care at this point. Finally, I like the way the buttons feel on it. I only tested one cart, Piko Interactive Arcade. Works great, except can't remap buttons like I did on the exp, so I won't play the games that have A and B switched. Steel Force is blast on the Super Pocket though. Overall, glad I got it.
  11. I'll have to test the 10in1 tonight. I haven't taken it out of the box. The 4in1 paddle works great.

  14. Yea, first cart I want in a while. Not to sound sacrilege, but the last 6 to 8 carts didn't/don't interest me. I'll be grabbing the new C64 soon as it's released.
  15. Day one pre-order from Atari
