  1. Looking to trade for INTELLIVISION's MOUNTAIN MADNESS: SUPER PRO SKIING. Cartridge only is fine. I will give you INTELLIVISION's POLE POSITION (WITH MANUAL), THE DREADNAUGHT FACTOR (WITH MANUAL & BOX - NO OVERLAYS), OLD SKOOL (CARTRIDGE ONLY) AND SUPER PRO DECATHLON in exchange. All games are fully tested, working and come from a smoke-free home. Your game should be too. PM me if you want to trade.
  2. This thread makes me feel a lot better about my hoarding! In addition to the two 27" CRTs I use for gaming I have 3 more in reserve tactfully stored away in my house. I am divorced and wonder if some of my fellow old school gamers who are married wish they could stockpile a few extra CRTs but would catch considerable grief from their better halves. Let's face it - these big-ass tube TVs don't store well and are heavy and unsightly to many gals who just don't understand our need to be prepared!
  3. I think about this issue from time to time (I'm 47) and wonder how I'll feel if I live to be a ripe old age where the discomfort from gaming wins out and forces me to quit. For this reason I keep a few simulator games packed away (Space Shuttle for the 2600, Red Storm Rising and Apollo 18 for the C-64) so if the time comes I'll still be able to partake in classic gaming. These type of games don't require constant joystick movement or button pushing, right? Plus I'll assume that I'd be retired by then and actually have the TIME to read the manuals - have you seen how thick the Space Shuttle and Red Storm Rising manuals are?
  4. Playing against the computer (when batting), is it even possible to make it to first base via walk, hit or error? I remember playing this for around 15 innings until I got bored & frustrated by having the CPU throw a perfect game against me. It is a little sad that this game could have been a whole lot better.
  5. I miss Bill the Cat and Bloom County....THE comic strip of the '80's
  6. Check out Double Dunk. Other than being a late release (1989) I can never understand why this game doesn't get more accolades. Once you get the hang of it this gem offers 3 pointers, free throws and a tough CPU opponent. It's a good one!
