  1. I do......and while it is a little primitive graphics-wise every level provides this cool effect I suppose. Parker Brothers really did O2 players right by making excellent versions of Qbert and Frogger.
  2. I believe one of the cool (and underrated) things to see in old school gaming is to get to the 8th screen on several versions of Parker Brothers Q Bert. The black-out effect of no walls always look awesome, especially in a darkened room. Intellivision version is shown and I know that the 2600, 5200 and Colecovision ports also have this level. What I was a little disappointed to discover is that the otherwise very excellent TI-994a edition doesn't have this on the eighth screen. Passing this level also means the beginning of the end for mortal players like myself since the cube color changes every single time that you land on it.
  3. Who's autograph is on the Barnstorming cart?
  4. This is such great news! I did appreciate the Colecovision version of Lode Runner from a few years back but was put off by having to use BOTH buttons on the Coleco controller in order to drill left or right as needed..... I can only hope that the drilling feature (left or right) will feel pretty similar to the C-64 version as this will utilize a joystick with one button. Hurry up and get here November!
  5. Just when I was fully secure with myself that I would never, ever buy another video game I read this thread......just wow!!! This will be an early Xmas present for me!
  6. Another free bump (especially for that Emerson 20" flat screen w/built in handles)........these early 2000 TV's are simply gems for quality of picture, portable yet big enough screen for gaming, and those two handles that just make moving the baby a hell of a lot easier!!! While I am grateful to have spent some extended time in my life in the Dallas/Fort Worth area I can truly say that I only miss Whataburger, Billy Bob's and the Central Time Zone. All those prime time shows and games starting at 8:00pm (instead of 9:00pm on the east coast) was a nice thing. But that freaking heat.......you can keep it.
  7. Zaxxon? Turbo? No idea if they're available but they are two ported arcade games to the Intellivision and I love completion lists!
  8. Chants to self.........I don't need any more video game related shit. I don't need any more video game related shit. I don't need any more video game related shit. 9. My passive/aggressive ways continue with my TI 994/a gaming interests.......One thing I do know for certain is that Shamus is not my kind of game. Seeking to TRADE my TI 994/A Shamus (cartridge only) for a Star Trek Strategic Operations Simulator cartridge straight up. Please PM me if interested. Ted
  10. 4th of July holiday weekend bumpity bump......this bundle is still available. $175 worth of fireworks will only last you a few seconds but this TI-994/A will give you joy for decades.
  11. Slight price reduction.........she ain't going no lower so if you're interested shoot me a PM.
  12. My vote goes for the Super Pro System (I guess aka INTV III) Aesthetically, this console just looks like it belongs perfectly in the late 1980's. Those awesomely comfortable controllers......I still get a little tingle of complete gaming satisfaction while playing Slam Dunk Super Pro Basketball, Super Pro Football and Super Pro Baseball on the Super Pro System.
  13. This gentleman is a credit to the Atari Age community - a pleasure to deal with. Ted
  14. A bump and simply put.....Bigfoot and Parsec are just fun as f&ck games on this underrated console with the voice synthesizer........You DO NOT need a MBX system to fully enjoy Bigfoot.....just sayin'

  20. For the first time in video gaming website history, a member will do the unthinkable........admit that they were wrong. Within the past 48 hours I have played both the 5200 and 7800 Robotron and am fully qualified to say that it's a tie! Graphics, sound....5200 wins hands down. Yes, play does get a little choppy when a lot is happening on screen. The 5200 dual controls are very nice too. But my recent epiphany came when I strapped in TWO 7800 Prolines into my homemade holder.....just wow! These stiff, otherwise very uncomfortable joysticks were made to be played with 7800 Robotron! It was a better game playing experience using these sticks. To kind of quote Rocky IV....."I can change, you can change.......we can all change!"
  21. In lieu of the original dual controller holder that was packaged with Robotron and Space Dungeon years ago I asked my father (who is a woodworking craftsman) to rig me up something. He borrowed one CX-52 and made this simple but sweet set-up. It measures 16" by 10.5" and fits perfectly on my lap. As it is wood, it is heavy enough so it doesn't slide around during those tense Space Dungeon moments where I die and cough up several collected treasures.
  22. Curious to confirm that beginning with the completion of level 11 (thru level 99) there are no further messages, correct? I know that on completing level 10 the message reads "Sorry, no more rhymes" and I did get to level 12 once (I wrote this down a few years ago....yeah, I'm one of those). Space Dungeon is a great game but a game I will never be great at.
