      Too early and not enough facts to get bunched panties over. Also, Google starts and quits stuff all the time. This might not go anywhere.

       

      Nothing wrong with the prospect of playing on cheap hardware. I prefer my money go to software developers than hardware manufacturers.

      I'm willing to give up some privacy in exchange for useful things from Google but I detest ads.

       

      I've recently stopped my YouTube Premium subscription so I'll likely see a lot more ads, unless I just stop looking at amateur videos. The latter is more likely.

      Emulators may be under the GPL but roms are definitely not... They would have to be under DMCA exception but I doubt reselling other companies IP would be.
