Khan, was a great movie. Although, Shatner will always be remembered for that cheesy "Khhaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnn" moment. But jaybird3rd, is spot on about today's audiences. Even my own family get bored 10 minutes into movies IF there isn't any action. It's really hard to recommend particular movies without having to explain to them that "Something" will happen.

The Motion Picture, was a great Movie.

I don't think it's impossible to make a thoughtful sci-fi movie, today. Blade Runner 2049, seems to have been well received. Though, I would like a Star Trek that is more dark, and less on the action/explosions. And stop blowing up the Enterprise.

Yeah, that Star Trek blowing everything up, is becoming annoying.

The irony is, we now all want them again, lol.

You have to wonder if any company out there would take a risk and start making a few new models.

Dr "Feel" would get a lol.
