It's a WinBook TW102, microcenter has em for $80. Got mine around "back to school" time and had a coupon to get the keyboard for an extra $10, sadly attached the keyboard doesn't play nice with the uart drivers when used at the same time, so that's where the BT keyboard was needed. The speakers in the tablet suck but any little can speaker will do, great for the bass of some of these games. If you have already set up on laptop, copy over to new toy as is, I didn't have to mod it in any way. I like these WinBook thingy's, I have one mounted on my wall as a dedicated touch screen jukebox, another that is a remote for my garden railroad and now a vecfever one. good day.
  2. My full original set, my own color set and some 3rd party overlays have a nice cozy home. good day.

Going through some fw tests and the spinner support is fantastic. I experimented with epoxying some nuts into the knob (Giggidy) to give it some mass and it worked out really well. Has a good feel and seems much easier to turn. good day.

Yeah it really is a slick set up. The original test vids from malban 6 months ago really got the loins tingling, tomson dropped some bread crumbs on me about a month ago and I upgraded my cart. Did tests with a full desktop but wondered how small could I go with it. Loaded the drivers and vecmame on a $80 windows tablet with the mgalaxy front end a small bluetooth kb and can speaker. Been testing a fw that adds the Atari driving controller "spinner" support for the og spinner coin op games and newer image calibration settings options. Just visually jaw dropping fantastically fun stuff. good day.
  6. Oh no, not that half assed misinformed video. The vectrex service manual clearly outlines all the adjustments and the various screens in the test cart rom. It's about 4 pages of reading with pictures, super easy to do things right. good day.
  7. Yup! Hit the link in OP that corresponds with your location to order. good day.
  8. Now that I have a handle on shipping and prices, international price lowered to $36usd. I've also refunded some folks $4. good day.
  9. Also, I have no problem paying the paypal fees, so if you just send an order directly through paypal don't friends and family it. If the payment is gifted I loose the ability to make the shipping idiot proof with 3 clicks for myself. Thanks again everyone! Been fun getting to know some new folks as well. good day.
  10. Thanks everyone! many orders shipped today. Looks like the USA folks could even get them on saturday. Pro tip: Both sides of the overlays have protective plastic on them, if you don't feel like picking at it, you take a small piece of scotch tape, stick it on one of the bottom corners and use it to help lift the protective plastic with ease. More material on the way. good day.
  11. Huge fan of the green overlay from vectrexmad, but of course everyone wants more color options. I'm offering up for sale sets of 7 machine cut overlays. Original overlays are around .50mm thick and the material I using is around .30mm, but still a sturdy crystal clear material. I've been playing my vectrex with these for a week and all 7 colors have grown on me (purple is a huge winner). You can also use 2 at the same time to do some color mixing. $30 shipped in the USA / Canada or $36usd shipped internationally paid via paypal for a set of 7 overlays. To order or if you have any questions email me at: orderctde@gmail.com You can also use links below. ***Links removed, placed large order with same supplier and material quality degraded and I'm not happy.*** Please leave "paying for goods" box checked. If paid by "gift" it takes away 2 click shipping option for me. I don't mind the fee. good day.
  12. Look up what type of monitor it is and see if it has a degaussing button on the chassis or in cab somewhere, you can also try electric drill or if you have a pc crt plug it in, get to degauss option in menu and hold pc crt up to your monitor and hit button a couple times. good day.
  13. Fantastic cart!!! Your settings in Bedlam are perfect and worth the price (old hack rom from online is frustrating to play with spinner) you got it right. Love me some spinner Cosmic Chasm as well, it just feels right I have some more photos and documentation on my controller here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,154425.msg1660784.html#msg1660784 for anyone interested in or needing ideas to roll their own controller. good day.
  14. Should get my cart either Saturday or Monday and was able to spend some time at the bench tonight. Been thinking about a custom dial controller for the last couple months, the anticipation of receiving the spin-cart got the creative juices flowing. good day.
  15. Logan Hardware in Chicago is another place to consider. It's a fantastic establishment. good day.
  16. Replaced the integrator caps for a friend recently. Before and after pics attached. good day.
  17. Had been looking for a glass display case that didn't look like a piece of dining room furniture or wasn't $300+. Ikea has this nice unit https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10290283/ for 100 bucks and also ordered a led tape kit off amazon to light it up. I only hook up one console at a time, but nice to have the hardware on display with easy access and also be protected from dust. good day.
  18. Bravo!!! This would look perfect next to my jrok pokerdefender. Many have tried to convert poker cabs with taste, but it takes skill and a vision. Nice execution. good day.
  19. For those interested in wiring for use as a paddle on a standard vcs. First pic is stock and second is vcs paddle mode. Just swap wires on pot, relocate yellow, leave grey attached to board, unplug the rest, wrap with electrical tape and tuck towards bottom of controller. Since you have it open, doesn't hurt to shoot in some deoxit D5. I also did have to shave the nubs with a razor off the plug end. I've had some more play over the last couple day, just fantastic. The smaller knob is great and just involves finger twitches with far less wrist movement, I also don't feel the need to reset my fingers at any point during game play. Fun stuff. good day.
  20. Great as a paddle, the smaller knob size makes a difference (twss). I swapped around some wires on the inside so the paddle works on any vcs. As others have said, the joystick blows. good day.
  21. From a play field stand point, the bally home models do have a full size standard play field and use a standard size pinball glass, unlike all the other (wico, brunswick and more) home pins of that era. These were sold in a retail situation and designed to be handled by dad and little johnny on x-mas day. But yes the cab body and back box have some modifications so that they work better in a home situation. I own 2 of these (not for sale) and love them, I like to think of them as an early 70's electro mechanical pin that has a logic board. Another neat thing, the later generations of the home models that had the larger back box with the plastic frame are mounted just a little bit off center with the body which will allow you to shoe horn the unit through a 24" wide door opening without removing the head. When these are serviced properly they are lightning fast and fun. Search "chopperthedog" on youtube, I have some random videos of both my home models. Good luck in your quest. good day.
