My first system was the 5200. By the time I was even aware that the 2600 even existed the 5200 was out. Thank God for the better graphics and pause button.

I may have an extra here, if I do I'll send it to you for $5.

Well, I can try to keep up with it. We may be playing the next game while I'm finishing up the results from the previous game, but I have excel and frontpage. My buddy borrowed my 5200 but I'm happy with the score that I got when we first discussed this, so I'll just get it back by the time we get to game 2. So can Albert get us a subforum like they have for the 2600?

I'm still game, and I'd be willing to do some work for this but at the same time I'm not as computer savvy as I'm sure a lot of you are. I was all up for this immediately, and in fact already played Joust to a very respectable score IMO as this thread died on the table.

Oh, there's no doubt I suck. What game first, Joust? Obviously anything but PacMan... it's too easy to rack up the points in the Keys.

So, let's do this. I'd be more apt to play games other than the ones I seem to keep on playing (Miner, Keystone, Ms. Pac Man) if I was trying to set a good score.

I'm down. I have access to every game sans BBSB. I've actually been logging my high scores of games anyway.

I have this same MP3 player and I love it. I bought it over an Ipod because I wanted an FM tuner and it is substantially smaller.

Other than not having the Coke can, the Pancakes, etc. I like it. I'll probably buy this as-is, but if Pac-Man could eat a bunch of grapes I'm in for sure. Thanks for Hangly-Man by the way man. Works and plays great!

Is the power switch "clicking" on the 4 port? It may not be engaging and that may be why you aren't getting any reaction from it.

I'm not sure if they mean anything but the one I have right in front of me that I just rebuilt and it has EP 163 etched on it, and USA (yay) right below it.

Ebay has a crapload daily. You may want to expand on that to whether or not you want them to be in working condition. Most of the joysticks on Ebay are in "As-is" condition, stating that they are untested. I bought a lot of five like this, and only one of the five worked well enough to use (the left lower fire button worked, but that's the only one I use for most games anyway.) The average rebuilt joystick is in the $30-35 range on Ebay, and the rebuild kits are $20 each.

So PacManPlus... how about making your next project "PacManPlus?"

I'm in for sure. I just wanted to know... is this based off of an arcade version of Pac-Man? I thought maybe Pacman Plus, but that one has the Coke can and the flags on top of the ghosts' heads. Not complaining, I'm in regardless, just curious because that version is interesting.

I don't think there's any actual "setting" that it should be at, but rather it's a trial and error thing. A lot of the other guys are more knowlegeable than I am, so there are probably threads on this subject if you search for a while. But from what I've read take the cover off, put in Missile Command (to check to make sure the cursor will reach all areas of the screen) or Star Wars : The Arcade Game (the cursor will be pretty much be centered when properly calibrated) and adjust the pot as needed.

Sounds like the controller pot needs adjustment. It controls all joysticks at the same time. Remove the cover from the 5200. Over where the LED power light is there are two pots. The larger red one is for color, the other is for joystick adjustment.

I'm a 5200 fan first and foremost, more than a collector. I'm up for having every possible game, whether that be by multicart, re-release or original. So here's to the possibility of having yet one more game that I can play (or attempt to play, since I suck so bad.
