Some prototypes of released titles...

The same is true for Jawbreaker II and Baja Buggies. The latter is effected only in the input of your name for the high score table. -
CC65/Atari .xex format for AdvSkelVic65?
DjayBee replied to Harry Potter's topic in Atari 5200 / 8-bit Programming
Most certainly. -
I recently acquired an UGV to put into my PAL 600XL but it won't fit because it overlaps with U24. I tried stacking it with an additonal socket which remediates the overlapping problem but now the stack is too high, GTIA touches the keyboard from below and the case cannot be closed anymore Is it PAL-specific that this socket is populated or can/must U24 be removed when an UGV is installed?

Not everyone lives in the land of the weird-color-TVs. For PAL or SECAM this should be a division by 50.

Doing all the analysis, I totally forgot to post the B-sides of the disks. These are from A8SP's dumps. Disk-Master 1050, Der v1.0 (1986)(Self-Published)(DE)(Side B).atr Disk-Master 1050, Der v1.3 (1991)(CDI)(DE)(Side B).atr

New Infocom style adventure - The Locked Room
DjayBee replied to Shift838's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
This image should work on any RAM configuration starting from 16 KB: locked_atari8bit[f].atr To patch the interpreter itself permanently do the following replacements with a hex editor like HxD: Right at the beginning (in the ATR from offset $0028) original: A9 08 85 0B 18 60 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 patch: A9 08 85 0B A2 05 BD 29 07 9D 30 01 CA 10 F7 18 60 C8 84 BD 4C 9A 09 and a little farther in the program (ATR offset $0217) original: A8 C8 84 BD A8 84 BF A9 FF 91 C4 4C 9A 09 patch: 10 02 A9 7F A8 84 BF A9 FF 91 C4 4C 30 01 -
New Infocom style adventure - The Locked Room
DjayBee replied to Shift838's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Yes, this is what I also want to do but from my understanding of the code it must be set to #$7F because the original result (bcc not_too_much) is incremented by 1 to get the number of cache buffers. Furthermore I wanted to hack the OP's original interpreter. -
New Infocom style adventure - The Locked Room
DjayBee replied to Shift838's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
This is the exact problem why the Locked Room riddle does not work with 48 KB (by 2 pages). If you boot it with only 32 KB of RAM, it works and by inserting BASIC, the remaining RAM is only 40 KB. Since DOSINI is set to the correct start address, entering DOS will then run the game. I'll try to create a hack which modifies the cache allocation in a way that it never tries to allocate more than $80 buffers. Stay tuned. -
Atari Cartridge Documentation Project ep2
DjayBee replied to jindroush's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
A ClrMame DAT file is actually part of every release. Look inside the archive file which contains all the ZIPs. -
I don't know this particular file('s format) but in general you should be able to load the FFP code like any other program file from DOS... ...IF you run the system with an OS in RAM i.e. using a translator disk. The floating point code resides in the area $D800-$DFFF which can be overwritten (IF the OS is in RAM as said above).

Look inside the ATR. @www.atarimania.com why don't you copy the text to the game's webpage? -
Original 24-bit color images deskewed and cropped: YEMACYB-original.pdf Reduced to 4-bit color and with added fake-insides of the cover: YEMACYB.pdf
-
This is great. Can you please share them (uploaded here or shared by Dropbox or something similar)? Since I cannot rotate the PDF I would otherwise have to extract (in a lossy way) every page into a JPEG or other graphics format.
-
Did you scan directly to PDF or do you have TIFs/JPGs of the scan? I would like to crop the pages to only the original paper size and also rotate the crooked ones. Cropping is possible with PDF but I did not find anything to rotate stuff. If you own original disks: Could you please make photos of the disks? Oh, and btw. there are dumps in A8SP's torrent (with identical data to yours'): YEMACYB-4 v1.50 (1989)(Electronical Software)(US)[BASIC].atx YEMACYB v1.50 (1989)(Electronical Software)(US)[BASIC].atx The program seems not to be protected, thus the ATXs are more reference than needed.
-
... unless you have fun in loading and saving the same file ad infinitum. 😂

After I got positive response from two German testers, please give these dumps a try (v1.3 is Speedy-only and v1.0 is Happy-only but incl. Speedy's Happy mode). There seems to be an intermittent problem when reading track 0 (at least from a v1.3 original disk). It sometimes returns garbage. DiskMaster v1.3 [cr test5].atr from @Yellowman's dump. DiskMaster v1.3 [alt version][cr test5].atr dump from A8SP's torrent DiskMaster v1.0 [cr test3].atr dump from A8SP's torrent Credits go to @ijor who submitted all the needed information. I just had to put everything together and make the crack small enough to exactly overwrite the existing code. Modifications: Instead of 4 times sector 27 with 256 bytes and spread over four tracks, my code loads sectors 1-8 with 128 bytes from the first of the protected tracks (v1.0 track $0F, v1.3 track $13). This is based on ijor's information further up this thread. The original is able to examine its own disk except for the protected tracks. In which case it delivers garbage data. ijor submitted a patch to allow dumping these tracks as well. And as stated several times above, the original Happy version runs only on v1 Happy ROMS. ijor submitted a patch to run on v2 ROMs as well. Waiting for more feedback by @Gregf and certainly others as well, if everything works well.
