      My solution is a filter in uBlock Origin to kill the stupid update panel.  Now I don't have to see them at all because the forum ignore feature sucks so bad that ignored users can still show up in these updates.

      Well, I started with BASIC on my Atari 400 when I was 7 years old, and for the last 14.5 years have been doing a pretty good job supporting my family as a coder.  Even fulfilled a lifelong dream of having a NASA badge and got some pretty good facility tours.  I will say this though - after 25 years of object oriented coding on various platforms, it's pretty damn tough to go back to 6502 coding.

    I wasn’t going to say this since its so personal, but I want to explain why I may not be active for a while. I was present when my younger brother died of a heart attack. I called 911 and started performing CPR immediately. The EMTs, when they arrived, got his heart beating. They said the CPR I performed is WHY they could get his heart beating. They said it was a miracle due to his heart arrhythmia that they got his heart beating. My brother is a good man; give you the shirt off his back kinda’ guy. I know nobody here knows him, but please - pray (or whatever you might do) for him.

    I think I saw a topic Garfield VS Heathcliff on atariage. So I checked both comic strips.

     

    Unlike Garfield, I can't find a single stip of Heathclff who was funny.

     

    Sorry for Heathcliff fans here. Just my personal opinion.

      Sorry - all I read was the ram test part of your question.  I'm not aware of something similar, which monitors that.

    100% done Skyrim at 150 hours.  That game was life changing.  Ruined sooo many games for me by being so good.  I'll never play a 3D Zelda again i can tell you that much.

    I had fun shoveling yesterday.  There was 2 inches of slush with a 1/4 inch of ice on top.

      No ice for me either, but 18 inches of snow and an additional 5 to 6 inches in the drift areas.  We haven't seen a snowfall like this since 2010.

    Arby's has a new Diablo chicken or brisket sandwich out.  I had the chicken for lunch.  I like some spicy stuff but HOLY HELL!  It didn't kick in until I was about 1/3 through the sandwich, then it got really spicy.  By the time I was 2/3 through I felt like I was eating the Devil's A$$hole!  They give you a small milkshake with it and trust me, you'll need it.  I couldn't finish the last two bites and anyone who knows me knows that I don't waste food!

      I'm far too on the extreme side.  Did the Paqui one chip challenge, what a rip off.  Didn't even drink after eating the damn thing.  Eat Heat wings from Quaker Steak & Lube is just a regular lunch for me.  So far the only sauce I have refused to try is 2 million scoville unit pure capsaicin extract because that shit can cause internal blistering.  One day I'll regret it - maybe :)

      I had one today.  Great tasting sandwhich, but as far as spice, I'd rate it a 3 out of 10 at best.  I can't believe what some people pass off as spicy :(

    Happy First day of winter.  It is 25 F here in north central MD.

      75F with 85% humidity down in Melbourne, FL.  When I get home in a few hours, it will be a cool 26F.  I hate these insane temp changes.
