  1. I believe it has to do with not having PHI02 signal on the cart port of the 400/800, but rather a different signal. The timing is slightly off (I believe delayed).
  2. Since you idolize devs, over "none devs", I am just flexing my internet muscles, so you can see how cool I am, and finally worship me as a dev, rather than a "none dev".
  3. Good, remember to take your ALL of your meds, and take them on time. You seem to go in phases, which makes me think something is not good.
  4. Sorry - I cannot properly split your post and quote. 1 - Yes. Atari BASIC has a length limit on each line of a program. The only other way to make it "buzz" when typing, is hit CTRL+2. 2 - Correct - : separates commands on a line. Other useful characters - when printing, ; means append, , means add a tab then continue printing. 3 - Each line number is considered a "chunk of code". Meaning, even if your program has 3 commands separated by : (such as 10 ? 1:? 2:? 3). You could never issue a GOTO command such that only ?3 was printed. Any reference to GOTO or GOSUB 10, would issue all 3 print statements. 4 - Not sure I follow, but if you are entering data into a program, and need text which is a control character in quotes, hitting the ESC character before typing the key, will make it show up. Hope this helps.
  5. OK dipshit - I've tried to be nice, but you are spastic. I've been supporting my family since before you were born via coding. I've stood next to astronauts that were on the ISS watching rockets launch because my software is in use on dozens of multi-billion dollar contracts. Enjoy your success and your group of pirate wannabes.
  6. Wow - I must bow down to your superiority. My "none dev" skills have led to a terrible life of having a wife, a house, various NASA trips, rocket launch parties, etc. Keep on with your god complex for the folks you aspire to impress. It's doing wonders for you.
  7. Hey bro - is a "none programmer" the same as a "none dev"? My NASA badge is wondering, since you are so far above me.
  8. Ah - that would explain this: I mean, surely, if only this classy woman would have helped @BIGHMW get his views on YouTube, he would have been bigger than Justin Bieber or Eminem. What a classy chick to have gone to school with. I can see why this is the ultimate fantasy for a successful life. Definitely the way I would want my daughter, sister, niece, ANY female in my life to not aspire to.
  9. Settle down there! Maybe this will help (really setting the bar high here!)
  10. Good luck! If none of these provide useful, perhaps you can do the ultimate - and create one that does work on a 16kB machine. My 1st computer was a 400 I got in 1982, along with a 410 tape deck! It did at least have the upgraded B-Key keyboard.
  11. Is that true? I've not seen a single game that makes me want one and also, I can't think of a single game I have on my PS4-Pro that I think looks dated or bad.
  12. Best writeup I've ever seen done was the Pac Man Dossier. Pretty sure it's offline now, but I saved it. PacMan Dossier.zip
  13. Ah - thanks. I interpreted it as Screensaver Off = don't send keys. Makes sense now - to keep the Atari screensaver off, you must press a key. Thanks for this - also good to know nothing is wrong with the machine!
  14. Just ask everyone to ignore the thread, that always seems to work well.
  15. Exactly. You can't type in APPLE BASIC into ATARI BASIC and get an idea of the size. Any syntax errors or invalid statements, won't be accepted. You are going to have to type this in and convert as you go. And I hate to be "that guy" - but there's a 99.9% chance it won't work as you want, because of the constraints of 16kB and cassette only. Sorry to keep beating that drum, but please get a 64kB upgrade and a cheap SIO2PC device and you'll have access to 95% of all Atari software ever made. With your current, you may have access to 0.5% of anything useful. We're not advocating you get the latest Ultimate 1MB, VBXE upgrades. We're saying that even back in 1982 (when I could throw a football over those mountains) a 16kB machine with cassette was all but unusable.
  16. Sorry for the delay, but I was correct in what I was remembering (finally verified it). I have both XEGS mode ON, and Screensaver OFF, and I am still getting spurious key presses. I'll put together a little exe that monitors for key presses and displays the key code this weekend (time permitting).
  17. Pretty much end of argument right there.
  18. Sorry - the monochrome version. I'm digging the look of the neon version.
  19. I have to agree. Wonderful pixel skills. But - as a game, not at all what I would like to see.
  20. I'm willing to help. Just PLEASE - give me as a contributor (vendor, presenter, speaker, driver of attendees) , more help and reason to attend, rather than a regular show gazer doing 30 minutes (and 0 dollars) of engagement. It's a major kick in my ass, as a multi-year attendee, spending cash on a 3 day dual occupancy hotel, hundreds of dollars of food / booze, etc., 12+ hours drive time, - to think that "Joe Random Fuck" gets precedence in everything relating to show.
  21. This has been the norm - I believe it's how the OS "screen saver" cycles colours. It's not a bug in the new driver.
