    To anyone who has seen the new Mythbusters episodes with the new duo. Are they any good?

      They did a search (airing the different candidates for hosts), and re-cast the show. The only episodes of it aired in 2017 on Science channel. I haven't seen anything of the new hosts since. It was just okay. It lacked the chemistry of the original (pun not intended). More recently, Adam did Mythbusters Jr. with some kids which I thought was a lot of fun. But I don't know if that will return.

      I don't think this is a viable investment for T2, but I'll bring it up.  I personally, never liked GTA.

      I would think it's only a matter of time. They keep the mobile versions updated, and I would think they share some of the same software libraries. I would expect them to randomly drop as little surprises, sort of like the Jedi Outcast port from Aspyr.

    It's probably that. In Japan, arcades are still businesses instead of passion jobs. If a game isn't profiting they just take the board out and replace it. Much easier than hauling out a bunch of cabinets. I also frequent the lost media wiki from time to time (the only article I ever wrote was about the original version of the film Game Of Death). Your article actually got me interested in Heavyweight Champ!

    Welcome to Atariage! I can't tell you I this was shipped outside of Japan, but I can tell you that somebody bought the PCB and control panel for a little over ¥2 million (about 25 grand in USD). You could try to track down the buyer and see if he would dump the rom, but that might be impossible since it was most likely bought by an arcade operator (in the listing, the seller says he/she was only selling the PCB and control panel even though they had the cabinet. Most arcades in Japan use generic white cabinets, so the original cabinet would most likely get thrown out, unfortunately. ).       they don't really bother me- i like them equally as well as the d-pad on my controller.  i will say, though, they ROYALLY SUCK for Street Fighter.

    Do the next-gen systems already have a release date? I'm sticking to Nintendo for my modern gaming needs (ironically I play the NES/SNES apps more than I play the modern games) so PS5 and Xbox 4 are a no go for me.

    I'm typing up a little draft of a YouTube video I have been brewing in my mind for a while (it's about budget gaming), and I was wondering, how much the common compilation game was when it first came out (I was a wee bab when these were being released so I don't know a lot about the marketing for these)? I'm not talking about collectors editions that had last year's game bundled with it. Think of games like Namco Museum and Sonic Gems Collection.

      That's what's been the deal breaker for us. We did think about getting one for granddaughter's bedroom as they already have an Xbox One but there's no Netflix.

      It should be the ideal media system for those on the go, but I guess they thought that people would prefer to have tablets AS WELL as a Switch.

      It's a game machine. 

       

      The 3DS had a few video apps, but they were pretty terrible. I would assume that Nintendo doesn't want to go to the effort of developing and maintaining stuff that doesn't make them any money.

      Pissed there is no Netflix myself.  It's been ready for a long time.  They must have some 2YR exclusive deal with Hulu for some reason...

    I honestly don't know. I know there's some games released in the rising sun that hasn't been released yet in North America (don't know what exactly). I only did this so I could have some Famicom games that aren't on the NES app (E.g. Fire Emblem, Disk System versions of Zelda and Metroid, Yie Ar Kung Fu etc etc.).

    I made a Japanese account for my Nintendo switch and set up a 7 day free trial. I was wondering, after the trial is over, will I be able to use the Famicom and Super Famicom apps with my US account or will I have to buy another switch online membership (the US account has switch online)?

    I think I saw one of these in a YouTube video talking about bootlegs, but I've never seen one on eBay. Still wouldn't buy it. They literally just took a remote controlled car gutted it and put a Famicom in it. Sounds cool, but it would probably overheat and melt the car.

    Just got the $20 a year switch online membership. Looking for a SN30Pro controller now (the joycons are growing on me, but you can use the SN30 as a blutooth controller so im still going to look for one).
