  1. now, i read all of Mastering machine code and am still confused. New rom, old rom, none of it makes sense

    i have 2 questions:

    1. How exactly do i enter z80 machine code, do i use the rem command to enter it?

    2. how would i execute it? Usr, randomize?

can somebody please give an example because i'm truly confused

and Zeus or another IDE is out of the question (My hard drive is 27.8 gb, Eightyone took up all but 3 GB and it's filling up fast

  2. the universe i come from also had good atari 5200 controllers

when the rastrax drove atari out of business they snatched up all the unsold joysticks from the 5200 failing and used them to precisely pilot their hunter killer drones until the ai was perfected

they still lost the overlays and the operators would forget which button was the flamethrower though so it wasn't as bad as it sounds

Did the HK's crash or refuse to fly at all? those joysticks are terrible

  3. Have you considered cross development? While I don't know exactly how the resources look like on the Beeb, even if you work in BASIC it should be possible to cross dev with tokenizer that generates binary files.

most cross compilers such as pasmo have you use notepad. I find that inconvenient. I'd rather just use Archive.org and Micro User

  4. I'm assuming you haven't looked into how Teletext mode handles colour... I haven't even tried getting my head around that one yet but it's not a nice, simple to understand attribute RAM like the Commodore 8-bits or Spectrum have.

Well, i did manage to make a sprite, if you can call it that. My bigger issue is going to be saving anything i make
