I would like to know too. I tried my roller controller but I could only move horizontally. Vertical move was not possible. Maybe my controller is defective. I need to try it with Slither. In any case, I had to use the "joystick" setting to get horizontal movement.

It's a fun game but my reasons for liking this game are pure nostalgia. One of the games of my Christmas childhood in the 80s. I got this game and Carnival. This was the better one of the two. I remember getting up at 5 on Christmas day to play this.
