  1. No Atari 2600 stuff this morning but I found Demon Attack, Atlantis, and Turtles for the Odyssey2 for $5 each and White Water for the Intellivison for $4. My first in-the-wild scores! :D
  2. E-mail sent! I always have instruction manual needs... Voch
  3. I don't think the auction has started yet. Three hours to go? Voch
  4. This is not Linus' pumpkin patch... The cart is spoken for. Send me a PM if you're interested in any of my other loot...
  5. EDIT: the cart is spoken for. Stop PM-ing now. Thanks to mert's generous sale to me of a nicer copy of the great game Pengo I'm giving away my previous copy. The labels are, well, pretty terrible (I had to take the cart apart to clean out the water damage), but it plays wonderfully. Anyone just want it? First sincere PM gets it. My only stipulations are that you live in a place that's cheap for me to send to (U.S. and possibly Canada), you don't care that I just stuff it into a protected envelope, you don't already have several copies (Atari guru collectors...I know who you are) and that you'll actually play it. Voch P.S. Also check my give/trade list link in my signature for other goodies.
  6. Was Asteroids the first game to use bank switching to surpass the amount of ROM size that the Atari 2600 was allowed to address? If so that gets my vote.
  7. You might want to consult the Deathskull Laboratories Power Supply Page (they have an interesting quote in the Notes section that's not very repeatable here ). After getting a real power supply you might want to measure it and head to your nearest Radio Shack for substitutes. Voch
  8. Bummer. I've found that I still like my collection a lot but I'm trying to...how shall I put this..."limit the junk." I'm focusing on pre-1984-crash systems, and not even all of them. I find that's the way to keep from "overjunking." If anything, maybe you should pare down your stuff to just one or two systems.
  9. Try cleaning the cartridge contacts with a soft eraser. I've resurrected an Activitision title or two that way.
  10. You know you can always play it in an emulator. Oh...yeah. I even have a Stelladaptor... Voch
  11. Hey Atariboy: I guess I forgot to mention Miniature Golf, too. I even have patterns for a few of the holes... Voch
  12. Thrust? I don't own it personally (sorry Thomas ). Voch
  13. Mine are Casino, Flag Capture, Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong.

    Demon Attack

I like both the Atari (colorful, great game play, and great animation) and Inty versions (gameplay variations like the cool boss ship). As for the sound: I always heard the Atari version as a simple "doink" and the Intellivision version as a "ping." Voch
  15. No way man. It was the Men In Black! Although, then again, it could have been the Underpant Gnomes. No, 'twas the Adventure gnomes. -kemsted 1. Steal FireTiger's Adventure carts. 2. ????? 3. Profit! Sorry...couldn't resist...
  16. Ya know ya wanna *I* did. *I* did. (you're welcome for the free bump)
  17. The shake guy from Aqua Teen Hunger Force? Just a guess... Voch
  18. They cost $40? My friend's family got me one for Christmas and it's a nifty item. I like my Jakks double-paddle game more (they also got me that).
  19. Cool. It'll have something in common with some of my other carts. Actually, some of the "fun" is the restoration work (granted...this one is pretty crappy, though, but I can clean it up a bit). You should have seen my $5 Commodore 64 when I bought it at an outdoor flea market...it had an infestation of dust, mildew, and some little gnat bugs in it. It's all clean now and working 100%. Voch
  20. The blue label games are a little rarer than the standard Activision carts, but they're not necessarily hot commodoties AFAIK. Here is the AtariAge page on the Activision titles (found by going to AtariAge.com, clicking "2600" under Systems on the left, clicking "Companies", and scrolling down and clicking "Activision"). 1000 Games

Congrats on 1000. I'm at 329 Atari 2600 carts and 586 total carts. Voch
  23. Is one of them Imagic's elusive Subterranea? (we need a drool smilie )
