Hello everyone!
I collect everything from Atari, you can see my collection at https://www.atarimuseum.nl
In the nineties I was one of the guys behind Stichting Pokey (The Pokey Foundation) and ANG Software. We published 60 magazines in Dutch, 3 in English and sold overstock from Atari as wel as numerous Polish games. If you want to know about the Dutch scene in the 80's and 90's, just ask me!

Why can't I just state that I think such a remark is offending, without someone saying it is not? YOU don't think it is offending and I think it does. So we have different opinions. There is nothing wrong with that.
-
I disagree, what you are saying is that because I am Dutch I am allowed to mock The Netherlands???
-
My thoughts on this take over? Well, we have to just wait and see. Only time will tell what will happen. I thing I know for sure, fans of the old Atari will always find ways to enjoy their hobby. And let's be honest, if bad things happen to AtariAge, the enthousiasts will find another place on the internet to exchange knowledge, make homebrews, hardware enhancements and all other things this great community does. So, time will tell, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

🤣 I am waiting for CharlieChaplin to respond to this (sorry for my words) ridiculous remark. Personally I think you should not state these kind of remarks. This has nothing to do with any country and that was also not what Charlie was saying, please do not try to mock countries and put words in someones mouth.

And do know that Atari did not develop the coming 2600+. It is made by German/Austrian company Plaion, formerly known as Koch media. https://press.kochmedia.com/AN-ICON-RETURNS-ATARI-AND-PLAION-ANNOUNCE-FAITHFUL-RECREATION-OF-THE-A All those recreations of Atari "consoles" are made by other companies like Blaze, Atgames, Myarcade, Jakks Pacific and so on. Atari just sells them the license to make them.

A game called "Game Master" does exist. It is a game published by Alkazar Associates probably in the early 80s. More info here: https://www.a8preservation.com/#/software/title/4316 and http://grognardia.blogspot.com/2020/12/computer-assisted-gaming.html And also mentioned in "The blue book for the Atari computer": https://archive.org/details/The_Blue_Book/page/n135/mode/2up Some info of the IBM version (with pictures): https://www.digitalgamemuseum.org/collection/items/show/3133 Sadly, I cannot find any picture of the box.

A 3d printed button will probably not be strong enough (hopefully someone can recommend a strong material). The best (and cheapest) option would be buying a (broken) 1010 to use the keys, or repair the broken key. I have seen many creative solutions like filling up the bottom of the cap (with someting like wood) and use something sturdy like a nail or a screw. Have you seen this topic? The 1010 buttons are listed in the Best Electronics catalogue, but I do not know if they are still available.

Well said @CharlieChaplin! I think it is great that the Abbuc Software Contest is not only for the best programmers in the galaxy, I like that beginners can participate too, and who knows..... maybe those beginners will become the star programmers of tomorrow.

Nope There are 3 versions: 1010 Japan square belt 1010 Hong Kong square belt 1010 Hong Kong flat belt (only the "flywheel" belt is flat, other belts in this 1010 are square) All belts are generic ones and can be bought very cheaply on Aliexpress and other big electrical component suppliers. The webshops that are selling specific sets are making a lot of money on these And do know that the belts do not have to be the exact same size, a little more loose or tight is not a problem. Belts are not rocket science

That is not the right set for the flat belt version of the 1010. I bought an assortment lot from Aliexpress and in that lot are the right belts (the 3mm lot): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001308047721.html/ These lots are very cheap and contain multiple belts of the same size, so for just € 2.65 multiple 1010s can be repaired 🙂

As the instructions by Marceau are very clear about the volume levels, the problem can be something else too. To be honest, I have never tried loading a cas-file from the SDrive-max. To rule out that the SDrive is the problem, you can convert the cas-file back to a wave file and record it on a real tape. Try to load that cassette on real hardware. Or You can check if your cassettes have already been dumped and are available on a8preservation.com. If they are dumped already, you can download the cas-files from that project (see the topic about a8preservation on this forum for the locations where you can download these files) and try those on your SDrive-max.

Oh wow! Thank you so much!! -
I thought so too, but there are a lot of video games. I have been selling my spare stuff on Vinted too. Most seller/buyers are fine, but i guess there are weird offerings everywhere 😉
