1. I must admit, the red and silver version of the Atari Jaguar is awesome! Totally Awesome! You did a fantastic job painting them. I want one!
2. Hmm, sounds like a tough one. I really must admit that I have no idea at all. goodluck with that deal.
3. When does my copy (or two) of JagWorms arrive?
4. Does Phaser Patrol have it's box and instruction manuel? I love that game.
5. A while back I read that the Tetris Company were going after all Tetris clones, claiming to have a copyright on "the look and feel" of Tetris. I just looked it up, and several articles turned up in the search. I nabbed up the link for the first name I recognized - Slashdot It's back from 1999 - I have no clue if they are still rigorously pursuing game authors. I'm not really sure what the story is with Edtris, Cubis, or Tetris26. I just supposed that the Tetris Company must have gotten after the authors, since I haven't seen any of these games for sale since Hozer days. BTW, I would also think any Nintendo trademarks would be taboo as well. 713092 Goodluck with that deal. There must be 7,498 Tetris clones minimum. Tee hee.
6. I thought you said that a loose BMX is only worth $300.00? 853172 I bought a mint copy of "Air Sea Battle" for $300 (including box and manual) and it plays great! That's all that matters to me. I never get tired of that game!
7. Dude do you use EVERY post as a pulpit to start a flame war? How can you say there is nothing worth playing coming out? You mean that between the... PS2 Xbox Gamecube Gameboy DS There is absolutely nothing worth playing coming out? 861106 All those systems listed above I at one point owned (except for DS) and to be quite frank, I think they suck in comparison to older systems. These new corporations are pouring millions of dollars into these videogame projects to create tie-ins with movies and what they really boil down to is a boring non-playable game. Cutscenes, graphics, voice acting and promotion are all much more important than a game that was created with integrity and gameplay in mind. Well, that's my two cents and you can take that to the bank. LONG LIVE ATARI GAME SYSTEMS!
8. I bought the same unit at a local mall in St. Louis.
9. I will admit this to you -- one time while playing Tempest 2000 the sound of my shots and a few other effects did stop until I warped to the next level. I never gave it a second thought though because the sound came back after that. A tiny little thing considering (in my opinion) that Tempest 2000 is one of the greatest videogames ever made created by an evil genius that I worship! Well, that's my two cents.
10. Do they ask him what drugs he was using when he developed it? 855837 Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! I"m sure we can all guess within a certain range of accuracy on the issue. On a different note, I would like to say that Jeff Minter is a hero of mine and I will never forget his wonderful work he bestowed us with his masterpiece, "Tempest2K" and I hope to someday meet him for a round for drinks (among other things) on me. Well, that's my two cents.
11. I concur wholeheartedly wth mister zach.
12. All versions of the Atari Jaguar Controllers are comfortable and kick ass. Looks can be decieving. The standard controller -- comfortable. The procontroller -- comfortable. The standard rotary controller -- comfortable. The pro-rotary controller -- comfortable and lastly, the grey and blue (Jaguar and Falcon) controller -- comfortable. Buy your Jaguar and do not allow fear to destroy your ambitions to seek out the 64-bit power that is the mighty Jaguar! Do the math.
13. I will buy one as soon as it's available. I want my Tempest time to be quality time.
14. I can't wait to buy my copy (or two) of this fantastic looking game! Hurry up and release it or I will start holding my breath until I explode.
15. Was the sores code lost or just the binary? 860801 Pity, I would have loved having a "Joust" type game with quality graphics and lots of playability.
16. I too paid $250 for my Jaguar in 1993 and there was about 4 games available for it at launch. For me, it was love at first sight. Before my purchase I would read articles about the upcoming 64-bit powerhouse that was going to usurp the crown and obtain the keys to the kingdom and there was nothing Sega or Nintendo could about it. Aaah, the return of ATARI to it's rightful place at it's throne. Everytime I would open a magazine and read about it's specs and upcoming games I would salivate hypnotized at the pretty pictures I was seeing before me. My first few games with my purchase (besides the included Cybermorph which I love) was Dino Dudes, a fantastically fun puzzle game of logic, and Raiden, the awesome home translation of the arcade game. I never tired playing these games knowing that more we're on the way. I still own my original Jaguar as well as a couple more in backup and my collection continues to grow to this day for both the Jaguar and the JagCD Unit. I have an infinity the for Atari Jaguar that will never die and I will continue to remain on the scene looking for rumored games that were finished and never released or a homebrew for me to collect and savor. LONG LIVE THE ATARI JAGUAR!!
17. Nice mock-up. God, I wish it was real so I could add it to my collection. It looks like a fantastic game. Oh well, maybe someday someone will license it and all our dreams will come true.
18. I must concur with Random Terrain on this one. KOTOR and it's sequal have high production values and a deep understanding of the Star Wars mythos but as a game it really does seem to lack something entirely. The tweaking of this and the balancing of that is simply window dressing to a game that when boiled down to it's essense is nothing more than a glorified linear adventure book. When I play a game I like instant playability that makes me feel like I am playing a game. As good as KOTOR1 and KOTOR2 are they really feel like a multimedia book albeit a very high production value version. Well, that's my two cents.
19. Absolutely. If you are a fan of Jaguar, the JagCD Unit completes the circle. I can't imagine living without it. The VLM alone is worth the price of admission. But there are some great games and home brews you are missing out on without the additional add-on. Well, that's my two cents.
20. Please sell me your copy of Doom 3 for the 2600. I will pay you whatever you want. Thanks.
21. I just bought a rare copy of E.T. off eBay but it didn't have a box or instructions and the label was torn but at least I have a rare 2600 cart now so I am happy. I just tested it in my VCS and it plays great!
