  1. A lot of people don't have a clue what it costs to produce the materials for these games. I've been criticized because I charged for the boxes to a cancelled game (rather than give them away). I've been criticized because I didn't do an new printing of cartridge stickers for the boxed edition of a game that I previously released as 'cartridge only'. I've been criticized for not reprinting a cartridge sticker that started to come off because it was so old, when it could simply be fixed with a swipe of a glue stick. It is too easy for other people to expect you to take a loss on these, especially when they imagine that it costs 'pennies'. I've had people tell me that they won't buy my games unless I box them up. I've had people tell me that they don't want to 'pay for the box'. The fact is that you can't please everybody.
  2. Frank Palazzolo has the data for all of the keyboard component programs I believe. He's been slowly working on an emulator for the Keyboard and has the basic operating on the system. Here is a picture of Frank (in the middle) along with myself (left) and Carl Mueller on the right outside of Detroit in the late 90s I believe.
  3. When Scott Nudds and I were doing research to build the world's first known Intellivision cartridge ROM dumper, we found the Osborne book at our local library when we wanted to find out about the General Instrument CPU and ROMS inside the Intellivision. The book was invaluable and Scott eventually built the device, (described in a chapter of DeRe Intellivision) and we dumped pretty much every cartridge plus the Graphic ROM and The Exec ROM and the ECS Exec ROM that are floating about now.
  4. I have a few copies that I can build. However, I cannot ship them at the moment, because there is no air mail service out of the country. I have no idea when that will change. Unfortunately, you are in Canada, because Tim Naber has 4 copies of D2K SE that he can sell to USA based customers only. $110 US with shipping and PayPal fees included. The limited to 200 copies regular price of D2K SE is/was $100 US. If interested in a copy and you are in the USA, please email: elektronite@hotmail.com
  5. Numbers (score) cannot be displayed during fine scrolling. When we created Boulder Dash, we had to choose between fine scrolling or having the score display. We chose coarse scrolling.
  6. The updated version will be multi-player. However, at this time, Classic Game Publishers, Inc. has no agreement to bring the game to the Amico, so people should not assume that it will definitely be on the Amico.
  7. I've included a few of the more impressive eye candy screens and the art that will be used on the box. The game will probably debut at the Portland show in August.
  8. It is actually an Elektronite game that was developed in association with Kai Magazine. We had a design of a dungeon crawl and teamed up with Oscar Kenneth to do a Swords and Serpents type game. It isn't something that we are simply publishing. Most of the original design had some problems and was not complete in many ways. A lot of the original design was not used and it was greatly improved upon and enhanced by Oscar, and his talents really shine through in this game. One of our testers, despite these not being his type of game is a bit addicted to the game play. The game is complete and in final testing. It is simply a matter of doing the manual, overlays and box. That is what happens in Swords and Serpents and one of the motivations for doing a game such as this. Valter Prette was pushing for this game and is the one that got the design that this game is loosely based on done.
  9. We still have a couple of unclaimed copies. One copy, 99 of 125 was re-assigned and then the new person has failed to pay as well. We will be getting about 100 more copies by March. Until then, I have about 3 copies that are still available. Please send an email to elektronite@hotmail.com if you are interested in a copy now.
  10. Mark, please email elektronite@hotmail.com with Defender of the Crown ORDER in the subject line. Thanks!
  11. Three copies were reserved but not paid for so they are available to anyone who wants a copy. Please email 'Defender of the Crown ORDER' to elektronite@hotmail.com and we will respond with payment instructions.
  12. A few people have not paid. There are still a few copies if you are interested. Please email: Defender of the Crown ORDER to; elektronite@hotmail.com Price is $70 US plus shipping and PayPal fees.
  13. We intend to open sales of the 'complete in box' version at Portland in August. Mail order right after the Portland show. We will be selling materials for loose cartridges as soon as they are available.
  14. Thanks for the interest. We won't be keeping track of people expressing interest however. Hopefully we will have a website to order available products from soon.
  15. We have approximately 10 copies of Defender of the Crown for Intellivision available. Perhaps more, depending on payments pending. If you are interested in a copy or multiple copies of the game, please email elektronite@hotmail.com with 'Defender of the Crown Order' in the subject and a request for the number you'd like to purchase. Just a reminder, if you haven't emailed 'Defender of the Crown ORDER' to the elektronite email, you do NOT have an order. Copies are $70 US each plus shipping and PayPal fees.
  16. I will just write 'gift' on German shipments in the future. I'm not set up to print out invoices and such.
  17. We will be making the materials to make loose carts 'complete in box' in May 2020. The complete in box version will be available STARTING at the Portland show, and then via mail.
  18. I believe that you purchased a ROM of TNT Cowboy and I promised 'free shipping' for the people who bought the ROM on that title (only). There will be "CIB" versions of the game. We will be printing all 3 boxes and overlays and manuals in April 2020. We will be making the materials available to the people with loose carts and then debuting the 'CIB' copies at the Portland show. We've suspended sales of the loose carts of all three games due to lack of cartridges. They are going into other games at the moment.
  19. Yes, we will be doing proper Elektronite formated manuals for the 'CIB' release in Spring 2020. We've suspended sales of all 3 games due to lack of cartridges. We will be doing a print run in April and making the materials to make the game 'complete in box' then and opening sales of CIB copies at the Portland show.
  20. Just a reminder, that if you had a 'facebook' or 'atari age' reservation, in the past and you have NOT emailed elektronite@hotmail.com with DEFENDER OF THE CROWN ORDER in the subject line, you do NOT have an order. There are 15 copies remaining. On December 1, 2019 (12:01am Bangkok time) I will release all remaining copies to be purchased in any numbers (ie two or three copies in one purchase). We will be making 100 more copies and expect them to be available in March 2020. We should have our website back up and be able to do automated orders by then as well. Please understand that we are doing the best we can at the moment due to changes in our distribution.
  21. This sounds like a faulty Intellivision. No bugs like that were found during extensive testing over a long period of time. Try a different machine.
  22. The NEW reserve/ordering policy of Defender of the Crown for Intellivision Elektronite is currently building 125 copies of the game for distribution via mail order from Thailand. There are more people that want the game than 125 at the moment. Therefore, we have to follow the following procedures to make the system as fair as possible, and to get the game in the hands of as many people as possible and to avoid hard feelings. Keep in mind, that if you miss out on this round of copies, there WILL be more made available in the future, but probably not for a few months at least. So, if you want to play the game this Christmas, you'll need to get on this round. We will begin orders on November 15th, 2019 at 12pm BANGKOK TIME (GMT +7) Here is how you order: At 12pm Bangkok time, (GMT + 7) (NOT BEFORE!!), on November 15th, 2019, send an email to elektronite@hotmail.com and request a copy. Put "DEFENDER OF THE CROWN ORDER" in the title Within 24 hours, you will get a reply IF you have a copy reserved. The confirmation email will contain information on how to pay via PayPal. The cost of the game will be $70 US + $18 US (Shipping + PayPal Fees) = $88 US final cost. Please NOTE!: - There is 1 copy per person/PayPal account. - There is no combining this order with other items. We will not accept requests to combine shipments with other copies going to other people. - IF YOU SEND AN EMAIL BEFORE THE official TIME, it will be deleted/ignored. - We will not accept message requests of any type for reservations of the game. You must email. - We will have requests open until November 30th, 2019 at which time any unsold games will be allowed to be purchased by anyone who wants a copy in any numbers. - We will be sending via registered mail if possible - Please note that all and any previous requests for the game are null and void and this is the ONLY method that you will be able to obtian the game until December 1, 2019. Thank you for your understanding. We don't want people feeling that they were overlooked or ignored and some people having multiple copies of the game. 15 copies of the game remain. As well, 11 people have not paid yet and they will be released on December 1, 2019
  23. Ok, in the future, people from Germany are going to have to instruct me what to declare or I will go with my standard 'materials' cost, which was just trying to be kind. Or, I can just put 'gift' on it. I don't do printed labels and it is coming from a person, not a company, so I don't know what to say except that I would have had a lot more people complain if I had put a $70 US value on the package.
