RGB values for PAL and NTSC Atari colours
pseudografx replied to RetroCoder's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
These were taken directly from the latest release of Altirra and converted to palettes for the Paint Shop Pro. You can see the values by opening the files in notepad or similar editor. Also, unless you're dealing with software sprites in GTIA9, which is unlikely, you really need just the even values. Altirra41NTSC.PspPalette Altirra41PAL.PspPalette -
Has anyone been able to make the VCS Classic Joystick's rotating knob work with Altirra as a paddle? It works with Stella out of the box.

Has any progress been made on DPC+ emulation? I am still hoping for that feature. ?

Sad news hit our community today. On Saturday 26th of February, Lubo Roba, also known as Xi, has left us unexpectedly at an age of 48 years. He has been active in the Atari scene since early 1990s and for a long time he was a co-organizer of Forever demo party in Trencin, Slovakia. The last farewell will be at the public cemetery in Košice, Slovakia on March 3, 2022. Xi and his daughters at Forever party 3 years ago. Link to a list of his Atari productions. Besides these, he was also an author of "eXtended RAM Test" utility. https://a8.fandal.cz/search.php?search=Lubomir+Roba&butt_details_x=x

Nice but so far kind of useless for Atari development as it cannot output an Atari executable. Perhaps some time in the future. -
[RELEASE] RASTER Music Tracker, v1.34.00
pseudografx replied to VinsCool's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
To set the record straight, Bob!k wanted to release the source code of Raster's works (not only RMT, but also his other projects) already this summer, but for technical reasons this has not happened yet. It turned out that the source files were quite cluttered and needed to be reviewed and organized in order to be placed in an online repository, but there was some hardware glitch that complicated everything, along with the time-consuming nature of the procedure. So the release of all the source code is still on schedule, but it's not yet clear when that will finally happen.- 439 replies

BTW, if using Altirra, set it to "High PAL artifacting" to view the slideshow on the third disk. I really makes the colours pop up.

Why thinking so small, let's make the projector holographic! -

Remember that the cart still has to fit in various slots, including the 400/800 so outer dimensions must not exceed the standard size. In such case, it might be necessary to design a new PCB to fit in an oddly-shaped case. -
So I guess this could be sorted out in a potential 130XE extended version?

In my book it already is ?

I wish someone sold cables of this quality (those that the Hercules Workshop sells) in the EU.

Unicorns season: Prince of Persia for the A8!

The gameplay looks pretty much like Mr. Robot and His Robot Factory with updated graphics. Anyway, back to the topic, looking forward to the release date! Everyone involved did a great job with the conversion. Even including some ideas and discussions in this thread, after applying a sophisticated filter. -
It's actually not a hack but a new version compiled from the original sources with new code.

This is what the images look like on my system: Captured using RetroScaler 2x > HDMI capture device > OBS. Ignore the horizontal lines in the purple and blue, they are caused by RetroScaler. -

If I could suggest something, I'd make the brightest yellow one step darker to differentiate it more from the white.
