  1. Well, actually I consider the first water surface much more difficult to jump over. I never lose any life when jumping over the bird near the end of the level. If this is the first level, the difficulty might be a little bit lower, but still it is not that high to kill the playability.
  2. Ok, I uploaded the unpacked avi file, hopefully this will work. No idea why RAR didn't. Are you sure you have the latest unrar? Packed with Winrar 3.60.
  3. I recorded a video with Level 1 walkthrough. It's encoded with MSU lossless codec, which maintains the best quality while being effective with atari graphics . Download the RAR packed video and codec (Windows only) at http://asma.atari.org/video.
  4. It is possible to jump over the water (though it must be well timed) and to finish the level. With some practise it's actually not that difficult to finish it. There's even a checkpoint in the middle of the level.
  5. Btw. there are still two of my remixes at RKO: http://remix.kwed.org/index.php?search=PG
  6. Once I made a remix of Draconus, which used to be at the RKO website, so perhaps you're talking about my tune :-) I have it in the original (.it) format, but could encode to mp3 if you're interested.
  7. Isn't it too easy? I vote for something more complicated
  8. Sending some bugreports. Bug #1 (minor): The first screenshot shows the main character standing in the air (no platform under his feet). I only met this error at this place. Bug #2 (major): Sometimes it happens that the main character disappears and some garbage pixels appear at the same place (sometimes a short part of explosion animation is shown, but not with the proper colour change). After 1-2 seconds the game interrupts as if the hero died, but there were no enemies anywhere near him.
  9. Wow, it's really not too easy, though with some practice it's not that hard as well :-)
  10. Incredible! The best-looking Atari game I've seen so far!
  11. Sorry, the previous version wasn't doable (the background behind the letters must be darker). I also fixed a small issue at 'E' in TOPPLER, which was already in the original
  12. Here's my attempt at the logo. It would require GR.9 mode to show all the colours, plus two missiles for the 'W' letter. Also the bottom 3 lines of text use a different shade of gray to make the screen a bit less flat.
  13. Hi, I faced a bug - see screenshot. When the rightmost weapon appeared, I was not able to pick it. After this happened every new weapon that appeared was unpickable (though I was still able to pick money). Also, some creatures still appear out of sight in the left border of the screen.
  14. This one looks really promising, glad to see new good quality production :-) Will we see some more colours in the final version?
  15. Btw. a great source of inspiration could be the Mega Starforce games on the C64. I haven't played a better Space Invaders clone than that.
  16. A new release of ASMA archive with a total of 2192 songs adds 188(!) new songs, many fixes and updates, and not only that. ASMADB is an on-line database of the Atari SAP Music Archive, which allows you to search, download (and/or play, if you have the necessary player), view details and save playlists with search results. Download at http://asma.atari.org.
  17. This one seems to be rather buggy. Sometimes it locks on level-up (the music keeps playing but I can't increase my stats). All the weapons that get dropped and that I leave on the screen have the same stats after picking up, only their name changes.
  18. Title: Promenade Artist: Modest Mussorgsky This tune also makes its appearance in the Atari game IBM Tetris. Btw. go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pictures_at_an_Exhibition and scroll to the bottom of the page. You'll see a familiar picture :-)
  19. You should have looked into HVSC, the STIL entry for Stealth says: Title: Allegro no. 1 [from Keyboard concerto No. 1 in D minor (BMW 1052)] Artist: Johann Sebastian Bach And no, I don't have his e-mail
  20. Any progress on this promising project? :-)
  21. And what are you planning to do past Asteroids? :-)
  22. Ok, thanks to CC and miker for explanation :-) I'm gonna release the ASMA update RC1 soon (for the betatesters) :-)
  23. OIC, I thought The Greatest Hits tunes were done in Sound Tracker (and that was a classic chiptune tracker, wasn't it?).
  24. Interesting find. Does anyone have disk images for these disks? I'd like to have these songs in ASMA.
  25. Neither DLI nor VBI routines use any kind of "free" time, in fact they steal CPU time so the more things you do in VBI or DLI, the less computational power you have left. Correct me if I'm wrong.
