  1. I have never had any issues with fire, perhaps your joystick needs service or you have autofire turned on?
  2. Download link for Bunny Hop is available here: Enjoy!
  3. Here is a downoad link for our winning entry in the ABBUC Software Contest 2022. Also attached is the manual. I hope you will have fun with our little puzzle game. https://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=8306 Bunny Hop.pdf
  4. I checked prices at AliExpress and other sites and it turns out that the Kailh Choc switches are quite expensice, so I was wondering if you have considered some cheaper alternatives such as Gateron or Redragon low-profile switches.
  5. If you're reacting to my questions, my point was that sending them overseas does not make them very cheap.
  6. Thanks for the tip! Is this the one to look for? https://www.ebay.com/itm/165290095148?hash=item267c0eb22c:g:UYYAAOSwbM9h5wea
  7. As it is quite expensive to ship the cables over to the EU, I was considering making my own cable, but so far I have not found any source of cables with individually shielded wires. Does anyone know a source based in the EU or what type/make of cable to look for?
  8. To keep to the thread's topic, has anyone tried crocheting or bonsai trimming?
  9. Also the white/bright areas are not as bright on the stock machine and jailbars are slightly visible in some uniform areas.
  10. Just wanted to share a couple of comparison screenshots I made today with and without UAV. The left one is my UAV-equipped 800XE, the right one is stock, unmodified 130XE. Both PAL. Screenshots taken using my RetroTink 2x Mini and ezCap 321a USB HDMI grabber.
  11. If only there was an EU reseller for the Hercules Workshop cables. 😞
  12. I guess you mean ASAP. And yes, TIA emulation would have to be added to the ASAP library and the SAP format may have to be updated. Not unfeasible, but would require a lot of effort.
  13. They can, but only manually. I don't think there's a tool for that.
  14. I'd rather get AVGCart over Fujinet since it can emulate both SIO storage and cartridges. Not to mention RAM expansion. Also readily available at www.miscretro.com in the EU.
  15. I'd say the Plus/4 is not too far, with regard to CPU speed and palette. But all things considered, no platform is really close to the Atari 8-bit. The 6502-based systems are a lot more diverse than the Z80 ones, which often benefited from quick (and lazy) ports.
  16. To add to that, do not think this game is easy. Yes, the first 20 levels or so are easy enough for small kids, but the later ones (there are 60 in total) are pretty challenging. I still haven't beat the last two. 🙂
  17. For a good HDMI output, you need to: 1) Add UAV to your 800XL to get cleaner video and S-Video output. 2) Get a good quality HDMI upscaler such as RetroTink 2x Mini. Those are just my suggestions but they work very well in my case (though I have an XE machine).
  18. Just switch Altirra to Portable mode and you can copy your settings file over to your new system.
  19. Poison already told me he's not coming, which is actually the reason why I won't probably come, too. I'd have to cover all driving expenses by myself. 😞
  20. I have registered at Mirko's page yesterday but just a couple of hours later I found out I will probably not make it 😞 So please take my registration as very uncertain.
  21. Let me introduce our contribution to this year's ABBUC Software contest. Bunny Hop is a single-player puzzle game coded by @Fandal, with graphics and music by me. The LZSS/RMT audio driver was provided by @VinsCool. Additional concepts and ideas by Leopold, @twh/f2's son. The game is based on a board game "JumpIN'". The objective of the game is to get the rabbits into their holes. I won't go into detail regarding game rules, you may get a better idea by watching the video below. Due to the amount of graphics and animations, the minimum hardware configuration is an Atari 130 XE with a storage device that can load XEX files. There are separate binaries for PAL and NTSC systems, with adjusted music speed and palette. The game will be released for free after the contest results have been announced. All screenshots and video footage in this post have been captured from real hardware (PAL Atari 800XE).
  22. I am not in charge of the svn repository, nowadays I am just a contributor, and very scarce at that.
  23. Hey everyone, I have ceased to update the site long time ago, now that the latest version of the archive is available at SVN, version numbering makes no sense and so do (ir)regular releases. Everyone can grab he most up-to-date archive there. The downside is that ASMAdb is now also outdated, since there is no connection between it and the SVN system.
