  1. Wow. So why is this not legal? Also I posted a CC1 on Ebay last week, advertised on GameSniped.com and it finished fine. I've been selling on Ebay for 12+ years without a problem. Except today, when 2 people post within minutes of each other "hoping my auction doesn't get pulled" and asking how much I want if it does. And then it gets pulled 30 min later. I've been on this site 10 years without anything like this happening. I smell a shill-bid account for this site and also one for Ebay. And it stinks. Anyone but these two accounts PM me with offers or it goes back on Ebay soon.
  2. Hi, I have to sell several items over the next few weeks...After 7 years of owning the amazing CC2 I've put it up on Ebay. Pitfall 2 thrown in for the completist. Cuttle Cart 2 Complete: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 230594435092 Thanks for looking
  3. LOL, yeah, that picture sorta just happened and I went with it Back to the topic at hand, I really can't convey how professionally crafted and effective this controller is. Waaaaay back in the day I used to score 1.5MM+ (starting from Level 1) and after a few weeks with the T2K Commander I'm getting back up there!
  4. Rare poster here...but highly supportive: this is an amazing product from Oz (device #10)...I'll let the pic speak for itself other than to say this is the best handmade vg hack I've bought, far superior to what I cobbled together after 15 years of tinkering. Cheers, thank you mate! This is a wonderful device and everyone who feels even mildly about the Jag should buy a few to play on one of the best games ever...before they're gone. Cat and motion-blur probably not included (but intended!). T2K scores through the roof! Get. It.
  5. OK cool, thanks. Carl is a stand-up guy in general and I appreciate the advice...I'll check it out. As an aside, I lost the CD version when my car got broken into a long time ago (I also lost books of random audio CDs but only wondered what happened to the library of Jag CD titles in there...) and always thought the cart version would be good to check out because my Jag CD is so buggy.
  6. Hello, The title pretty much says it all. I've seen this on eBay a few times but have missed out on buying it. PM me if you have one you'd like to sell, preferably loose. Thanks!
  7. For what it's worth, best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  8. Hi, Apologies if this has been covered before. I searched the forums and "CC2 Discussion Thread" and couldn't find anything similar. Now that I've finally gotten my 7800 running 8bitdomain's awesome video mod I'm finally getting some quality time with the system. Has someone compiled the 2600/7800 homebrews/demos into a single set (with bankswitching settings, menus, etc. for the CC2)? I'm not looking for any files that people don't want distributed, but if someone has taken the time to sift through all the threads here and on other sites where ROMs were distributed for public use (Beef Drop, for example) I'd really appreciate not having to reinvent the wheel Thanks either way in advance.
  9. Epilogue (I hope!): I gave up on poking at this after a week. Mike at 8bitdomain offered to fix it for free if I shipped the unit to him, which I thought was a very decent thing to do and wanted to note it here. I'm interested to see what was messed up and would be happy to try and help other ppl out once I get it back. That's all
  10. Unfortunately I'm stuck with a webcam for a while and it can't even come close to doing macro pics. Although I think I followed the directions for the mod correctly I'll over start from scratch and see how it goes. I'd rather not bog this thread with grainy close ups If that fails I'll try again to get some legible shots...
  11. Thanks for the reply. Ugh. Here's a blurry webcam shot of the red tube on my unit. The arrow indicates where I sanded. If I did mess it up, is there another way to grab the audio? To clarify, the audio output sounds like an ungrounded signal--lots of buzz--although I have grounded the line per the instructions. The composite does not work, and the RF output is just a black screen now (it worked before the mod).
  12. I read through the "easier 7800 Composite video thread and thought about posting this in that thread, but it seemed a little OT. Many moons ago I placed an order for the Rev. 2 board (link here) and recently received and installed it. I'm a novice at these types of projects but am good at following directions...so, when I put it all together the Svideo looks amazingly crisp but is in black and white, and the audio does not work except for briefly when I seat/unseat the Mod chip. I've emailed Mike from 8bitdomain and he hasn't been very responsive . If someone could give advice how I could troubleshoot I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd like to get back to playing games I checked my solder points, all of them appear to be clean and secure. In order to seat the board, I had to dremel the edge of the red plastic tube that sticks up from the board (an example of this part is shown in the center of the attached pic), could that have anything to do with it? I only sanded the plastic part of the tube so I doubt it. That's about it. I've been poking at this for a while but can't figure out a good way to systematically approach it. Thanks very much for your help.
  13. Oh well, once Jay weighs in on the issue it's over . I knew it looked vastly different than the two working units and the other parts that have surfaced, but you never know. The exhibition was sponsored by Nintendo. I guess they didn't focus so much on the details. And besides, how many people would even know what a real unit looked like?
  14. Hello, Haven't been here for a while but this seems newsworthy: in London a few days ago I grabbed vid of a yellow Jaguar VR hiding in the "Game On" exhibit: http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/exhibitions/gameon/. It looks complete with tracker and guts. It was clear they didn't want pics/video so I had to move fast, hence the janky stabilization. The tag next to the headset says "Developer: Takara/Phillips...Courtesy of Cybermind, Ltd." Here is their site: http://www.cybermindnl.com/ Awesome to find this in the back corner of a multi-room, very comprehensive overview of VG history: PDP-1 through Wii, including Tempest 2K. I thought the consensus was that there were only two working VR units (owned by a member here: http://www.atariage.com/Jaguar/faq/index.html ). If not I've been out of the loop longer than I thought I'm still having problems capturing video--my DV camera hangs the default MS capture software, but this is most of it. Hope you find it as cool to watch as I did to capture. http://youtube.com/watch?v=4kjj7UdFyVE edit: removed the partial upload of the vid here. M
  15. http://www.brendandawes.com/mt/archives/000137.html Sweet.
  16. InsertCredit has picked up the story... http://www.insertcredit.com/archives/000192.html Woo Hoo (?) !!
  17. FYI, here is a solution that I have not tested: http://www.cask-of-amontillado.com/htpc.html [goto "Enable Live Preview" on the "Tips and Tricks" page] -------------- cut and paste from that page ----------------------- Enable Live Preview , bypass encoder for 0 delay and fast channel change This will bypass the decoder and result in a 0 sec image delay as well as faster chanel change. Very useful if you plan to hook up your gameconsole. Note : Live preview won’t work with all driver version, most of the 1,7 version work and some of the 1,6 just. There are to many drivers to list every driver here, so just test it and see if it works. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREHauppaugehcwTVWnd] "LivePreview"=dword:00000001 (1 for on, 0 for off) LivePreviewOn.reg [these are links] LivePreviewOff.reg
  18. I tried running my VCS (and Dreamcast) through a Hauppauge PVR 250 card and got about a 3-sec delay. The info I can dig up using Google seems to indicate this is an unfixable situation for this model, but if anyone could suggest something it would be greatly appreciated. For reference, the card: http://reviews.designtechnica.com/review1766.html Thanks in advance
  19. [right forum?] Just an interesting FYI, they were mentioned this morning on the fantastic Gizmodo site: http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/home-entert...rtridges-027055
  20. Whoops: http://www.buenz.li/
  21. Sweet, thanks. That is pretty amazing. Here is the event I think the demo was made for, fyi.
  22. Got an email this morning and I can't wait! Now to borrow a friend's TV...
  23. Almost-OT-Plug: The Stelladaptor has finally given me what I hoped the Cuttle Cart II might (and which the original CC has): the ability to be playing a game 30 seconds after I read about it, and with the right joystick. A belated thanks to AA and Pixels Past. I don't buy a ton of VG stuff and this is worth every penny. That being said, I finally gave Ikari Warriors a shot today. Sweet! Nice scrolling, a fair amount of animation and variety, the ability to ride in a tank at times. I'm not very good at it yet, but are there levels within the game, and what other 2600 titles offer a fairly sophisticated attempt at multi-mode arcade gaming? God that sounded more heady that what I was shooting for Thanks,
  24. Whoa. I think you just removed _my_ major attraction to the CCII before I even have the thing in hand: conserving space and using the original controllers. Who was selling those NES/2600 hybrid pads? And when is the 7800 S-video mod expected (hedging both ways ) Sold! And thanks
