  1. Throwing my hat into the ring: Thomas is a kind, deservedly reputable figure on AA who has produced great products for the Atari 2600. Jahfish and Junie are sketchy, evasive figures on AA who have failed to honor their commitments. I have recieved no response to my repeated requests to both for a refund. The only reason for not laying into another "boo-hoo, I lost my $" thread is that it frankly isn't worth the effort. Again: if anyone wants to band together and really push this issue forward, I'm on board. I have extensive documentation. Fanasize all day about space ships or neat products, but when you take preorders hike it up and deliver.
  2. Thank you Thomas. You have been very available and understanding since May. I will sell this copy (#18 ) of Thrust+ to anyone at cost ($70 USD). It is in perfect shape, and hasn't been played (yet ).
  3. I recieved #18 (wrong number) over a week ago.
  4. And that's that *door slamming shut* I guess a great idea like that takes a little more fortitude of character to pull off, and a less amount of intrinsic cowardace to own up to, publicly or not, when it fails. As for the devoted forum, I don't think that ever came to pass (yet?).
  5. Yeah, I wish I've had this happen a few times, where someone gets an extraordinarily good deal at my expense. Such is eBay, and at least I'm rid of more stuff...
  6. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1940094544. Thanks for looking All items are tested and work fine.
  7. Sweet, thanks for the info! I remember about the test unit that it allowed the use of external inputs for the VLM. Any luck with this? Also, any chance of you putting up some video of the blue unit in action? Thanks,
  8. It's going for a whole penny, with two days left! Here's all my items:http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...&page=1&rows=25. Thanks.
  9. @jaysmith: OMG It is nice to see that all of this amazing stuff is under one roof. So that's where the test unit went to. I tapped out at $200 on eBay. Nice page layout also. Does the blue VR helmet provide a better picture than the red one? How did you convince (forgot who) to part with his unit? Again, wow. @thunderbird: first you have to get all that stuff out to NYC . I exchanged a few mails with Don about the JagDapter. I grew up where it was manufactured and knew the store owner, so it was interesting to see something previously unknown and made by him pop up almost unannounced. It looks like this is the only JagDapter out there. Congrats, can't wait to see some more pics!
  10. @ Rob: . You should post those pics of your system here on AA. It is truly a sight to behold.
  11. I'll place a vote for Thrust (and probably Thrust+ ). This game is very rewarding after playing it for a while with a good joystick.
  12. No, this is the rare "Invellivision" edition from Transylvania Thanks for the heads up. About the system, I found mine in a thrift and the damn thing won't work for longer than 5 min without crapping out, which makes it a little frustrating. As for controllers, I found a Wico CV controller someone had hacked for the INTV so it's fine for me Actually, the joystick snap-on attachments aren't that bad, and frequently come up on eBay for $10 or so. Has anyone else had a problem like this on the system? I'm guessing it is a power supply thing, because resetting the system after it crashes brings back the game.
  13. Help me help you (14 games, manuals, dox, etc). Thanks for looking: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...=ADME:B:LC:US:1
  14. Didn't an autographed copy of the game in NTSC sell as part of the Sept. 11 auction?
  15. Ah-hah. Thanks. When BS or one of Carl's carts goes up on one of those sites all hell will likely break loose...
  16. This is, I believe, the definition of optimism (edit: just re-read your post) What did you find along with the Air Raid? It just is interesting that someone bothered to make a PAL run given how rare the NTSC version is.
  17. Eh? It has been a few days since I checked JI, so I must have missed it. That's the main problem with JI (constant fighting aside): it is difficult to sort through old articles once they fall off the page. What, pray tell, was the discussion about?
  18. OK, thank you Now all I need is an eight-day week to get some time in on this
  19. @CPUWIZ or Marco: any chance of a pic of that Air Raid cart? Is this the only PAL copy of the game to be found?
  20. Again, thanks for the replies. OK, using the link below to convert the stick to PC seems to be the place to start. Where do I begin counting the pins at? Poor text art: Where is pin one? ______ |............| | X .... X | | X .... X | | X .... X | | X .... X | | X .... X | | X .... X | | X .... X | | X .... X | ----------- <> ________________________________ to stick...
  21. Well, here it is: What to do? Right now I've got a pretty cool looking paperweight, but I'd like to get it working on a classic VG system. It has microswitches for the stick, but also has horizontial and vertical adjustment bars (on top and side). Is this analog or digital? Thanks in advance,
  22. @ Curt: 1.5 hours? You could make more $ in a plumbers union I also bought an Intellicart, and it too is sooo worth it, esp for someone as cramped for space as I. Above you mention that similar carts have been made for personal use. Do you think it's just the time commitment that keeps the product out of Wal Mart , or is it a combination of this being a difficult thing to engineer in general? To me it all looks like magic, but I still can't get my composite mod to work correctly, so.
  23. Hey Gunstar: you're not at UW Madison, by any chance? I'm an alum and just wondered about the riots last week. Please PM me if this makes any sense
  24. The Cuttle Cart is just about the coolest device ever. Thanks again, Curt! Since you posted above: any plans to make another run? It looks again ike a small market is again building for this product. How long did it take you to assemble each cart? I know it was a labor of love, but just curious.
