I don't think the emphasis ever shifted away from the VecFever being the top Vectrex Flash multicart cart to own. VecFever software has always made it so.

However, PiTrex has flexibility in other ways that VecFever does not. PiTrex also has lower costs to acquire, and general accessibility to actually obtain one in real live. All these are the strengths of the PiTrex.

As to the question of a new PiTrex image, I suggest you jump in a help make one. Also follow PiTrex development on github.

PiTrex is an amazing piece of tech, just needs more active developers to push it to the next level (hopefully we will find somebody with programming skills soon). I have been using it for a while and I am very happy with it. However, when I see new YouTube videos of VecFever games, its like woooow... ;)

No. What update you mean? Atari games  usually are as they are:-) No updates for any old or new games was never released. The games which we release, are possible to update because the cartridge is writable, so if there would be a bug which we can fix or something like that, then it is possible to update. But as I said: we don't do any updates if the game is working ok.

I meant bug-fix updates like for e.g. Flob ;-) and thanks for the fast answer ;-)

  3. Are there any signs on the horizon, there will be a new batch of those amazing cards? ;-) I have been trying to contact Thomas for years without any success ;-(

Checked...it runs all ok on PiTrex :) It just does not save hiscores nor parameters, as there is no DS2431 chip. Not sure, it can be emulated in the future releases of PiTrex (would be nice).

The game is super cool and very very polished. Top ;-)

Forgot to mention .... it saves the state of the game including settings and hiscores via 4buttons+1st one, so the goal is achieved :)

You should have received a sheet with the PiTrex that has the address of our chat group. You could ask here and I'll be happy to answer but asking on our group is more likely to be answered quickly and more definitively! Here's where to go to join: https://groups.io/g/pitrex-dev There may be a slight delay on your first post as there are anti-spam measures in place but they'll be removed as soon as you've posted.

Super, thank you for your fast answer. I have already joined the group and posted first questions, but wanted to double check if this is the best place :)

It should work on any flash based multicart since it's a native 32k binary.  It also supports high score save via PB6 and a DS2431+ with 3.3k pull up resistor, so you can make a dedicated cart

I already got my Pi Zero and will test it in the next days ;) will report back...

Box image looks like a graphics hack of the big head from Lust of Lucifer or whatever that shooter is called.

Looks cool but I have kendo game ptsd from too many bad interpretations of Japanese sword fighting over the years.

Being honest, the game looks interesting, but I will wait for first reviews before buying :)
