  1. My metal plate is out of the right post (see pic; left post is gone and somebody cut the hole in the left wall, which limits the metal plate, to use it as left "post") and I think I will be able to remove it without disassembling the case. Quick solution, but it will run loosely thats why I was asking if anybody runs it lose as well.
  2. I have the same issue, and I am considering to remove the metal plate fully to operate the latch loosely. Is it possible to operate it like this? eg. does it still keep the cartridge door? any challenges? Maybe in the future will fix it properly once have more time.
  3. Is there a good way to grease the release latch without opening the case?
  4. I still think it would be interesting to check if its possible to fix on RetroTINK level. Not sure how emulators on PC/MAC have solved it.
  5. Can it be removed via software in RetroTINK? I assume its not only me having this issue with retroTINK and modern screen.
  6. I use a PC LCD widescreen. Even in 4:3 mode it shows. Oki, will live with it:) thanks!
  7. Thank you! Any options to remove it? or minimise it?
  8. I have just connected (via s-video) my Atari 800 with Lotharek cable and retroTINK pro (v1.5) and got strange artefacts on the right side of the screen in some games - have you noticed the same? It is visible in both composite and s-video options.
  9. I used Molykote 44 on my Atari 800 and it runs very smooth. Its a special grease I use for joysticks; safe for plastic. Its a very common grease in arcade/joystick communities.
  10. This person on Ebay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/papa*nannysfunstuff?_trksid=p2047675.l2559) is recognised and I have heard the products are good quality. Another one I found is https://printerboy.net/shop/dustcover/vectrex/vectrex-dust-cover/ (was looking for Vectrex cover though).
  11. Indeed, all my friends in Poland had XE (few XL). Great computers
  12. Thank you. I have contacted the first ones, but unfortunately they do not offer Atari 800 ones The only covers I have seen (and been searching) are in USA and Mexico; I would prefer to avoid paying so much for postage + delivery times.
  13. Hi, Can anybody recommend a good source for an Atari 800 (non XL) dust cover in Europe? Thank you, M.
  14. Good afternoon, I am looking for 6 yellow plungers to fix my Atari 800 keys (stockpile keyboard). Is there anybody (preferably in Europe) who could help me and sell those few pieces? Really appreciated! Kind regards, Michael
  15. Has anybody successfully been using Rockpower NT 21 (https://m.thomann.de/intl/rockpower_power_supply_adapter_nt_21_eu.htm?i11l=en_GB%3ANL.EUR%3AEUR&o=1&search=1595417615) with Atari 800 without plug change? Thanks for help! ?
  16. Rockpower NT 8 seems discontinued (several shops confirmed). I also checked the forum and there is a contradictory information regarding Atari 800 plug size 5.5x2.1mm vs 5.5x2.5mm - do you know which one in the end is the optional/original size?
  17. Thank you! I will buy Lotharek dedicated cable with svideo din out
  18. Thanks a lot! I did not notice it:( super, im set then!;-)
  19. Have you managed to find svideo cable matching retrorink in the end? I’m looking too but I see only ones with svideo output plug and not chinch.
  20. This cable does not have rca output needed for svideo I afraid. Only yellow for composite and 2 for audio. The svideo output plug cannot be connected to retrotink .
  21. Hi, I am a new owner of Atari 800 (not XL) and looking for a good cable to connect it to retrorink pro to get svideo. Could you please recommend a good one (preferably available in Europe)? Thanks:)
  22. Thanks a lot for your info! I was just planning to buy it as thought Atari needs 2.5mm NT 8 then
