Hello, I have just bought my second Atari; 130xe Pal version to cover games my Atari 800 does not play;) There are 2 topics I would like to get your feedback: 1. Does anybody know what is the production week/year of this model (serial pic attached)? I have searched the forum, but it seems it’s not fully clear. 2. My model got small cracks on both front sides of the top cover (pics attached). Looks like plastic just got old. Is it something you experienced as well? Worth glueing? Thanks! M.

The list of selected ones was published on Sept 1st (http://vide.malban.de/september-1st-vectorblade-chosen); the comms to the selected ones were sent on the same too.

btw, there was RetroTink Mini announced too, which will be more cost effective.

There is no visible lag at all with RetroTINK. Its a beast and worth paying, especially if you plan more than 1 computer/console. Regarding lag pls see RetroRGB videos testing it.

I am a lucky one it will be so cool to play it
-
I have Pro and its amazing fully recommended the Pro version allows to easily upgrade firmware, which is really cool as you get new features.

I have been using this one (the direct link is https://stepstick.pl) and I am very happy with the product and the service. Top quality!
-
Thank you! I am a big fan of your application

This is the quality I get from my Lotharek cable (S-Video) via RetroTINK Pro to LCD monitor NEC231WMi. As mentioned earlier, it looks good, but probably could be still improved by additional shielding.

Majority of Atari 800 have 48k in 3 modules of 16k, meaning we can test 16/32/48k only.
-
Here is the test - 48k detected on my Atari 800 (48k) - all good I hope other people with different memory sizes will test too.

Super, thank you. I will test it and let you know. I think there are quite few Atari 400 machine with only 16k (max in stock configuration) left; not sure how many Atari 800 with 8k (initial setup). I guess 16k detection would help

Have you maybe tried to see what will be a result with your both screen via RetroTINK Pro? Not sure if you have a chance to get one to test though. I use this cable with Atari 800 Pal (stock) and RetroTINK Pro with good results. Anyway, the improved shielding would help to make it even better

Too expensive indeed I would say They have a good price here in NL as were manufactured here. There was a Dutch guy on Etsy selling those (different versions) tested; he has also spares, e.g. microswitches. However, shipping is just not worth. In general, I would not recommend spending much, as those vintage joystick are 30 years+ old and might fail at any time. Happen to me with many good joysticks. Sometimes its easy to repair though. Good option is a new Sega Genesis/Mega drive pad; those are superb.

As I mentioned earlier, I have this cable too and the picture quality is good. However, I think the proper shielding would improve it. I have tested a custom made one (full shield inside and outside) and the quality was better
-
I recommend this one feels like an arcade stick with short throw (some might not like it). Super tough with metal stick and microswitches.
-
I will shoot later email to Lotharek asking if he is planning to improve it. I am using his cable and the picture quality is OK, but definitely proper shielding would help it

Wow, I did not know I have been using Atari800MacX for casual gaming and it feels/looks similar when I play on my Atari 800

Hi All I have been using Atari800MacX for a long time and its an amazing software for Mac and its being actively developed these days, so its getting even better What are the benefits of using Altirra (I was briefly using it via RetroArch and I did not notice any advantages) on Mac?

Atari 800 (non XL) possible issue - help needed
mikesk8 replied to mikesk8's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Thank you. Indeed, this is on my list to test first Need to just get more information how Atari is using RAM while playing from cartridges or SIO2SD. I have an impression there are some differences and I want to ensure the test are correct:) The frogger version which was giving me issues does not load with 16k (at least not in Atari800Macx) and there is no 32k option in this emulator, so need to test in real Atari. -
Welcome:) Thank you for your work! Please let me know once the memory part will be ready and I will test it
