  1. Hello, I am experiencing serious of strange behaviours on my Atari 800 lately. One I think is linked with RetroTINK (posted in another thread on this forum) as I get strange reddish vertical lines sometimes without computer even powered on (just supply is connected) [update - got info from support to check HDMI cables - will do more test]. However, the other issue feels like Atari itself or/and SIO2SD. I cannot still find a pattern yet, but maybe you can help me in this investigation. What happens is that while playing a game (loaded from SIO2SD in my cases) suddenly screen gets black, music is off and after 2 seconds the game is back; looks like you start from the beginning (need to double check this). It looks randomly to me. It happed so far to me only in Frogger and some time ago in Moon Patrol. Its coming and going. Then, you load another game and it seems to be working ok. I was playing with young sons so could not really observe it clearly Do you maybe have any tips how to further investigate it? In the beginning I though its just some software error or something like this, but now I am getting concerned, especially we played those two games without any issues these days.
  2. I managed to get a shot (not the best one, sorry) of those artefacts as got them today as well. They looked way more visible and reddish than in the attached photo. It disappeared after re-connecting/re-powering all the devices. Anybody? [update] Just got answer from RetroTINK that it looks like HDMI connection issue - I will be doing more tests with different cables/TVs and report back Please let me know if you had similar thing.
  3. I ran it on my Atari and it detected now correctly GTIA=PAL looks ok; I guess more people with NTSC systems should test.
  4. Hi All , I have one more strange experience with RetroTINK Pro, which happened today. I was playing Pac-Man (cartridge) on my Atari 800 and started to get randomly red vertical lines covering the whole screen coming and going (showing for a sec and disappearing). Then, they stopped to disappear and stared to be displayed (red vertical lines with a very small distance from each other) continuously. I restarted the game with the same result and switched off the computer. The red lines were on the colorbar test pattern as well (with Atari powered off). I switched off all the devices, checked the cables and powered them up again. All is ok again. Have you seen anything similar? It happened to me only once.
  5. thanks a lot I don't have facebook, so its very useful
  6. Clear;) will u start a separate thread - call for action/preorder one?
  7. .. but will you do Atari 800 (non xl) cover?
  8. Here is the updated screen with Basic detection, which is correct (Basic version A) Summary: - Processor seems OK - Ram not yet - OS seems OK - Basic seems OK - TV system not yet - Sound seems OK (I think all Atari 800 are mono in stock configuration)
  9. I am sorry, but my feedback was not clear I have GTIA PAL and the software detected CTIA PAL, which is not correct
  10. I have tested test3 version and the results are: -memory is now "unknown" from 64k in the previous version -CITA PAL is detected and not GITA PAL (in my machine); previous version had GTIA NTSC; ANTIC in both versions were PAL; my machine is PAL with NTSC B OS.
  11. thanks for the answer the graphics looks really nice!
  12. I have an unmodified Atari 800 and decided not to get Incognito; want to keep it stock. Maybe will buy 65XE as a 2nd machine for new stuff:) Those are quite common in NL.
  13. Thank you! This version is superb!
  14. No chances for 48k Atari 800 version I believe? looks super!
  15. yes, I use s-video cable form Lotharek + retroTINK pro with HDMI output. The video quality is pretty nice
  16. thank you for the confirmation I guess almost all new games are using 64k.
  17. Thank you. I have found one, but it seems it does not run on 800 (non xl), so not for me:(
  18. I have tested the demo version on 48k Atari 800 and it does not work neither.
  19. Does anybody knows if it runs on 48k Atari 800? I assume not but worth checking as it looks interesting
  20. Is this game available as a file/floppy purchase or only cartridge?
