  1. I wonder how many Indus cases still have those cardboard inserts? I think I still have a set in at least one of mine.
  2. Antonia overrides any RAM or ROM memory on the motherboard, so the 600xl RAM upgrade really isn't necessary with Antonia installed.
  3. There are also port extenders for the 1200xl to bring the cartridge outside. https://www.bitsofthepast.com/?product=1200xl-cartridge-port-extension
  4. I don't think they're very rare or valuable. I've got one with the shrink wrap still on it.
  5. Pretty simple really, 27c020 EPROM, 4 pull up resistors for the additional address lines. The 4 encoded lines from the switch to toggle the 4 address lines. Pin compatible with the 27c128, so it just plugs in the OS socket with the extra pins hanging over the end, and one or 2 of the pins not going in the socket. Tap ground and +5v somewhere and wire it all up. I think I plugged the pins that didn't go in the original socket into some SIP socket and soldered to that. I'll try to dig it out and get some pictures soon.
  6. Click the little floppy icon to download the basic program.
  7. I've got a 16 in one OS in one of my XLs. One EPROM, a hex encoded thumbwheel switch, wire and a few resistors. No board needed (although I should have built one for it). Those SCSI select switches work great for an 8 in 1!
  8. tf_hh's 48/52k memory board allows you to switch between 4 OS ROM slots, and it can also map the unused 4k that is used by Omnimon/Omniview, etc. to the switchable ROM.
  9. I used this screen for my first sdrive-max. If you want one of the printed cases they are designed for the 2.8" screen. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EUVJYME/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. I have to say the 600XL is currently my favorite 8-bit due to its small footprint. I somehow acquired 3 of them over the years, most likely as part of a lot that had something I actually wanted. They sat unused and unappreciated for years. Now with all of the upgrades available my most used, and now most capable, 8-bits are both 600XLs. I've got a few unappreciated 400s sitting around too. I think the one with the keyboard upgrade is due for a couple of the tf_hh upgrades I purchased recently.
  11. Complete manuals here assuming you are using FJC's alternate firmware ( and who wouldn't!) https://atari8.co.uk/firmware/
  12. Something like this might help if it's not too far gone. https://www.amazon.com/TECHSPRAY-1612-2SQ-RUBBER-REJUVENATOR-BOTTLE/dp/B018KT2YOC
  13. If using Hyper-XF rom you can actually partition a 3.5 into 4 sssd partitions, and I believe you can boot from all 4 of them from the single disk.
  14. If you look at the cable he bought, it has an s-video connector (chroma + luma) plus 3 rca cables, one for composite and 2 for audio. I assume this means that the cable is already (supposed to be) splitting the mono audio signal to both connectors.
  15. Hmmm, that one does claim to have both audio plugs. Bad cable maybe? Check for continuity if you can. Both audio connectors should go to the same DIN pins.
  16. Most 5 pin DIN to RCA cables only have one auidio connector. The others are the various video signal. The color coding is also inconsistent. You'll need an RCA splitter cable to get he audio to both inputs.
  17. Try re-seating all the cards a few times. Also, if you haven't already done so, remove the (basic?) cartridge and see if that changes things.
  18. X=USR(49152) is the correct entry point from BASIC and allows you to return to basic from Omnimon.
  19. Most of the number keys share conductor 2 on the ribbon cable. Try cleaning that and see what happens.
  20. How about a raspberry pi and a usb 3.5 drive?
  21. Here's one I got from somewhere on AtariAge I think. It does differ from yours. OSN_EF_4.bin
  22. Don't credit me. I think I got it here: https://archive.org/details/NewellIndustries8KOmnimonManual
  23. Here's the 8K OMNIMON Manual. Newell Industries 8K Omnimon manual.pdf
