No once you do the manipulation you will keep access to the bios. There you have to do it because on the batch of Gamestop Onyx vcs the password is unknown. Once you did it, you can modify or cancel the password.

You need to follow this instructions. Firstly, from the menu select "BIOS Upgrade & Reset Settings (VCS23) and secondly, you need to reimage the AtariOS.  After that you can use the Atar!C3l3br8te$50Ye4r$ password.

I don't understand. 

I had W7 and I payed for an update for W8. When W10 came out, I update my W8 -> W10. Since that, I have installed W10 on 2 VCS without paid anything.

So, If you have already an account under W10 on another PC, you have just to type your mail and password, so you can connect with your Microsoft Account.

Hi all, 

With the Onyx all in bundle from Gamestop the piano and Celebrate codes are not valid. On the other hand I did not try to change the ...C3l3... by ...C3i3... as proposed above. I had not seen that possibility. So try first before you try the rest. So, I had to switch the bios and AtariOS back to VCS21 as mentioned earlier in the thread. I first tried to change just the bios, but then under AtariOS no way to get under my session. It no longer accepted my code with a token error message. So I also downgraded the Atari os. Then everything went to VCS24 following the update and I was able to change my password under the bios and reconnect to my session. I remind you if necessary that I already have a Walnut VCS from atarivcs.com and that with the latter I did not have the password problem.

What is reassuring is the planned recapitalization of Eur 22 to 25 million. This will restore cash flow. On the other hand for small shareholders it will dilute the capital so the stock will take a further decline. For me the Atari stock is especially for the main owners: Wade Rosen now before Frédéric Chesnais. Small shareholders will never find their interest...

While the console is not available in Europe or the UK, we represent more than a quarter of the owners while it was released in Oceania and it did not find its audience there or the owners did not find this survey. I think a European release would boost sales but first Atari has to fix some problems that affect some users and add functions so that the release is not marred by bad remarks.

I've just scored 4420 in classic Recharged mode ?

The rotary mode with the classic controller is OK in Bluetooth mode for me. Disable the mouse option. When you start your engine, don't forget to connect first the classic controller before the modern controller ! Or quit the game turn off the modern and relaunch the game.

Yes, you can do it with Disk Management. It is a built-in tool in Windows 10. Follow this method Change partition size within Disk Management

The new partition  for AtariOS must to be formatted in ext4 format. Give a name like atarios and format this partition via W10 (download diskgenious for that) no AtariOS. This latter format all the ssd....

I had been using ethernet until I moved my VCS to the living room this weekend.    After enabling Wifi under Ubuntu (20.04), it started writing tons of errors to syslog and eventually ran out of space on /.   I had to use a recovery flash drive to fix the issue.

 

Obviously I can't leave wifi enabled if this is going to happen, so looking for fixes/workarounds.

The Wifi card is : Realtek 8822CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

I noted since the bios updates I have trouble accessing the bios and refind or grub2 with 10 year old TVs. I have to wait several seconds (30 to 60) and manually choose the hdmi output to access it. No one else has noted this? No problem on newer TVs or PC screens.

You just have to install the amd drivers available for the ryzen graphic chips. Everything else is recognized by W10 including the wifi card. It does of course install W10 following the atari operating mode : Here.
