    56 Minues With Batocera on the Atari VCS

    I tested Batocera on USB. Works fine without configuration but the WiFi. What can I do to correct it? I also need to find the shortcut keys to find the file exchange partition. I hope Batocera recognizes the NTFS... And how to exit by turning off the console via the software. On the other hand no sound problem for me. I just downloaded the latest x64 version and installed on USB flash drive with rufus.

     Then, press CTRL-T to start a new tab from the Xbox app, and type in the piepacker.com URL, and it will work.
     If you try from the normal Chrome browser, directly, the VCS will switch the modern controller back to VCS mode.)
     

    Hi JustClaws, I tested t for Piepacker and Xbox fr-FR to play at last in French and it works very well. A big thank you.

    I have two new vcs and on the first one I followed the method I described here  and everything worked. A few days after same problem on the second. I use it less is my son's and so I also have a session on it. I thought it was because my nickname was to stay first on the latter. But I couldn't re-indicate the same second nickname. I removed a letter and it worked. Better, I still have the entire nickname finally

    I was blocked to access the store with the message: your session has expired. Please connect to the internet... Only no way to connect to it. I share my solution in case other people have the same problem : In fact I had disabled the pin code to connect to the dashboard a few weeks ago. To correct the problem I had to reactivate it, then change my nickname. This asked me for the pin code and everything went back to normal. I have access to the store again... Amazing isn't it?

    I've won the 2 first monsters (boss) in the 2 caves. My 3 guys are Lvl 11. I have to hunt the 5th monster near to Gonnos... One of the best lynx game without a doubt. Being on sick leave this week for a limbago I was able to play it a lot of time ? This type of game was clearly missing from this machine during the marketing period! A must have!

    I personally bought it through the atarivcs.com store. To do this I created a postal address in the USA via Shipito.com which is great. From the receipt of the package they warn you and you then choose the method of delivery, declare yourself the price of the object to pay after vat. There is no customs tax in France on the import of console just the vat. It's pretty simple. And the USD/EUR exchange rate makes it possible to erase a large part of the VAT. In DHL transport I paid 70 USD.

    I hardly can believe you died every 2 minutes in training mission 1? For beginners I recommend you to start with the training 1, 2 and 3, to get the feel with the gravity and controls.

     

    Don't play with a rotary, it will make the game 2x harder. If you have a Pro, use that. 

     

    Use the C button, hold it to rotate your ship into perfect landing position automatically, then use a little bit of side thrusters to make a save landing. Auto rotating makes your life a lot easier.:-)

    It's not that hard if you use the control options we included.  I consider myself an average gamer, however, gravity games can be very hard to get used to for some.

     

    Another trick is to use the thrusters very gently and the gravity/inertia to your advantage - let it sail!

    A lot of people are probably thrusting too hard and loose control very quickly.

     

    The controls are not your twitchy arcade style shmup, don't try to force it, let it flow.

    Thank you for your help. It's a little better by following your instructions. I was able to pass the first 2 trainings but however it remains too difficult for me. The worst thing is when you have to maneuver and shoot at the same time. Sorry but I don't have any fun... Any chance you add a hide mode where you can disable gravity for bad gravity gamers like me? ?

    I just tried it for 1 hour. 30 mn with rotary controller and 30 mn with Pro controller. Indeed, the second is the best. However, I find the same difficulties as with Last Strike. I die every 2/3 minutes or almost. It's frustrating and finally, even if the game is beautiful, and grandiose on the sound side, I quickly move on, because I don't take pleasure. It's a shame for me. I don't know who the testers of the games are, probably beasts of this type of game, or maybe I'm not made for this kind of game too... . It is true that when I was younger I played Command & Conquier, Civilization, Theme park... and on my jaguar yet I finished AVP, Iron Soldier, Highlander... but I wasn't playing that type of game.

    In fact, unfortunately the modern controller does not work under the Xbox Cloud site in French. As soon as I manually switch it to xbox mode it goes back to Atari mode... Forced to use the application and therefore to play in English. 

    It's a shame because under Windows with edge the controller works very well with the French site.

    Yes the support for the Modern Controller is amazing ! Just a small downside: The XBOX CLOUD and LUNA "link apps" actually link to US sites. So, I have the games in English instead of in French... So I rather go through chrome with the right address... ATARI has to think about this if in 2022 they want to release the console in Europe. It's a shame because the atariOS is already in French!

    It would be necessary that the modern controller be recognized as an xbox 360 controller under AtariOS even wireless ... Under Xbox Cloud with chrome under AtariOS I can not use the modern controller it is not recognized even by connecting it with a wire. I am forced to return under W10. Have you tested yourself under Luna or Stadia ?

    I have the same problem. Under the bios or AtariOS no way to configure the keyboard in AZERTY. Under Chrome (under AtariOS) I found to change the language in French but it does not change anything
