  1. You gotta do it fast, but not too fast. Be quick, but don't hurry. -Bill Walton
  2. Purchased: 1 Own: 0 Plan to buy: possibly 1 (if someone starts peddling modded units, or at least if they come out with new paddles).
  3. I went ahead an returned mine. I'm not losing anything. Either they will be super popular, and Atari will want to capitalize on a smoother version in the future (with working games, paddles, and/or some type of cart slot), or they won't be, in which case tons of these things will still be available in the future.
  4. M, E, A, T, M-A-C-H-I-N-E Meat machine! Meat machine! Allright, Break!
  5. Even if they were available separately, I wouldn't expect them to be too much under $15 anyways.
  6. "M, E, A, T, M-A-C-H-I-N-E Meat machine! Meat machine! Allright, break!" "I move, we defer this matter, to another comittee." "Fagabeefe?" "No way Jose; I was here FIRST!" "LEEEON!!"
  7. So aside from the homebrews, and the already mentioned sound issues, what all have you found to be amiss compared to the originals? For me, the joysticks alone are worth the price. (I think we've discovered the dissenting vote on the FBvsFB2 poll)
  8. Is the stelladapter compatable with the Activision Anthology for PC?
  9. Theres tons of these in every gamestop in houston. 9.99 Too bad some of the other sticks aren't built as beefy as this thing. Seems to be nothing you "get it all" in. The high quality games generally seem pretty rinky-dink.
  10. Hey sorry to post this here, but I only remember this game as a coin op, and just wanted to ask if anyone knows where else it might be played? Short of spending a thousand dollars or something on a giant machine in an apartment ha ha ha computer voice.
  11. I don't know about that. Got a link? I *do* know about Pocket Galaga arcade. Neat! 919708[/snapback] Man those are some little controls! Cool though. Can you play that thing very effectively... or is it property of the CAT?!
  12. I just saw it in Wal Mart by all the sticks. I'll look for a link though. It clips into the battery housing, and even has a little screw in the same place as the battery cover to lock it in. Which do you think uses more power, the wireless station or the stick itself (for which one to use the power replacemtn in)? I think the stick functions jsut like a remote control, because if you turn it off, the game still goes on if the station is still on. I've done some side by side comparisons- at first I thought the wired version might just be easier, but I can do the "prepush" technique alot better with the wired- maybe just because of the longer metal stick. Try turning right and down right out of the gate with the wired then the wireless and you'll see what I mean.
  13. Wow I'm surprised the wireless version is the improvement. The only think I like about it better is the ability to hold it in your hand, since it doesn't have that giant wall of batteries jutting out of the front (why was there a need for this? i've not seen this on any other stick). I have more control with the wired stick on Ms PacMan than the shorter, plastic joystick on the wireless version. I guess that's different than most others' experience. Plus the wireless takes twice as many batteries. You know about Jakks power adaptors though right? Only seven bucks and your done with batteries for these things.
  14. Hey so both of the light blue sticks are the re released versions? The wired and wireless versions have a quality ms pac man, and the one before this everyone complains about, or if it's wired, does that mean it's the old version? Is that wireless version any easier to hold? It looks kind of thick, but no battery wall sticking out in front. There is a wall on the front of the wired version that houses the batteries. It is as high as the joystick, and kind of annoying if you have large hands.
  15. They are new from the factory. THat in itself is notable, even if they were exactly the same.
  16. I've heard people refer to the "backtracking" tactic for the pac-man games, but after searching threads, and the tips and cheats section, I have yet to discover exactly what it is. Would anyone mind breaking this strategy down, or at least linking me up to where someone already has? Thanks.
  17. So the space invaders looks/plays like the one I remember from the 2600, or the arcade (?) version.
  18. Is that the best of all the plug and play games? Are they still available?
  19. +1 factory fresh paddles would be nice. was under the impression they would be available for fb2.
  20. http://cgi.ebay.com/ATARI-2600-FLASHBACK-2...1QQcmdZViewItem "...ULTRA RARE..."
  21. Seems as though they are all doing a seasonal reorganization now. Lots of people found theirs on the top shelf. Mine was in one of a dozen buggies they were temporarily holding stock in while moving stuff around. Best to wait anyways though, mine was one of the jacked up ones.
  22. So mine rolls- on a better TV it won't? For those of you who have the GCC version that does NOT roll, what kind of TV do you have?
  23. Got the last one at houston supercenter (eldorado). So it's a negative on being able to buy factory fresh paddles? Oh well, going right back to walmart regardless. Got the unplayable milipede that is flipping out, and no voice on quadrun.
