Either there or the one in Den Den Town in Osaka...I saw a Lynx I a couple of years ago in a shop near Super Potato there.
-
Mine doesn't seem to be painted in my opinion, I think it's dark grey plastic and has withstood quite a few accidents and has never lost any layers of paint. I've also seen quite a few other Lynx 1 consoles here in the Netherlands and I've never seen chipped paint on them. If it's indeed painted like you said, I must say that I'm really lucky with the quality of my Lynx 1.
-
Felyx: Here are some pictures of my Lynx I...no paint chipping, only the stickers on the back are faded through handling it over the many years of playing games. I think I also bought it in 1990, but I can't really remember...too long ago I guess. Also my D-pad is a bit different, there are also two different versions of the D-pad. My Lynx says PAG 0200 on the back, so I think it's an older version than you have...yours says PAG 0201 on the back.

Not really true...like Isgoed, I have a Lynx without any paint peeling. I have played with it for years and years (and years and years) and it still looks great. If I remember correctly, there are two types of Lynx I. One with colored plastic and one with painted plastic, the type with painted plastic is prone to peeling.

Don't know if you guys realise that EricDeLee hasn't been logged in since March 13, 2012.

Just got back from a few days in Germany (Wacken Open Air) and a brown package was waiting for me when I entered the living room. Haven't had the time to play EOTB, but the package look very nice (oh yeah, I don't care much about the switching of pages...it's the game that counts). Also included was SAMC...thanks a lot for both games...will be playing them as soon as I have some time.
-
Sorry, post gone wrong here!
-
Heh, good to know...I was wondering about SAMC, so I'll check the package thouroughly when it arrives. Oh yeah, I don't know what some people are whining about, but EOTB is neither a commercial or a professional release, so off course it might not be perfect. Be grateful someone has put a lot of effort into releasing the game for those who wanted it (I wouldn't go through all the trouble, that's for sure)...without Eric, you wouldn't even be playing EOTB on the Lynx...think about that before complaining about some printing errors. Can't wait till I get mine (and SAMC too).
-
Looks great. Can't wait to get mine...will take a bit longer because I live in the Netherlands.
-
Damn, that has to be a lot of work. Will try to remember to take some pictures.
-
Heh...I don't think so. Maybe a real goose was carrying the package and got lost underway...
-
No problems here with waiting either...I once waited for a package to arrive from the US (I live in the Netherlands) and it took about 6 months to arrive (they shipped it by boat!). Oh yeah, I also once waited 3 months for a shipment of toys from Hong Kong...people from Hong Kong sometimes aren't that fast when it comes to shipping (just start complaining and they ship it within minutes...). It's EOTB for the Lynx, so why shouldn't you be patient?
-
Heh, believe me, I'm not dissappointed...I just didn't expect to be on the list. Thanks.
-
Damn, I'm on the list? I've just sent you the payment...hope it's enough to cover the shipping costs to the Netherlands. Greetingz, Matthijs
-
That makes it even better!!!
-
I'd say my top three is: - Shadow of the Beast...to be honest,I think it's one of the best video game covers ever (even though it has little to do with the game itself). - Dracula the Undead. - Tournament Cyberball Honerable mentions: - Joust...well, knights on ostridges...nuff said. - Xenophobe...nice Giger style drawing. - Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden III...Ninja, ninja, ninja, ninja...
-
I would love to be added to the second list if that's possible...I really want/ need this game.
-
Mine has been shipped with Priority Mail...took about 3 days to get to the Netherlands.

I don't post that often on this forum, but Zaku arrived yesterday (I also live in the Netherlands) and I just wanted to say that this game is really awesome and deserves any praise it gets. Everything about his game makes you think that it was produced back in the glory days of the Lynx...which off course is a good thing. Graphics are nice and brightly colored. The sprites are large (especially the Bosses) and nicely animated. Love the fact that Zaku has Parallax scrolling. Controls are really smooth and the pace of the game is pretty fast. Everyone who hasn't ordered this game, I suggest you do so right away and start enjoying this game to the fullest.

Awesome version of the game, I have two copies, complete with manual and box (bought one when it came out and my wife also had one). Might be true about the Netherlands...I've seen a lot of copies here and most aren't that expensive...though most ones I've seen were cartridge only.
-
The one I have is: Type E, sticker " made in Taiwan " without inscription under the frame and the other sticker in English. Marked PAG-0200. Black buttons and a cross as joypad. I bought it in 1990 in the Netherlands.

There's a guide on how to clean the contacts in the "How To" section of this site. I always use Isoprapanol (Isopropyl alcohol/ 1-Propanol) and a q-tip when I'm cleaning any of my game cartridges (Lynx, Famicom, Megadrive, Neo Geo AES etc.)...dip the q-tip in the alcohol and rub the contacts till the dirt comes off, repeat untill the q-tip stays clean. I've had games that didn't work but after some cleaning they always work perfectly. Good luck.

How can they compare a PSP with older handhelds? To be honest, I think the whole article is a bit amateuristic and incomplete since they also left out quite a few others (WonderSwan, Neo Geo Pocket Color etc.). Still, the Lynx I is still my favorite...it looks good and holding the Lynx is way more comfortable than the Gameboy.

Just go to Romnation and download all the roms you want.
