  1. "corridor digging function links any two rooms, and knows how to follow an existing tunnel to avoid digging extra tunnels; I keep track of which rooms (and clusters of rooms) are connected using the disjoint set data structure"
  2. 128x192 in 16 colors would be great for a graphic adventure.
  3. I was making a general speech. I don't think that the value (or non-value) of an opinion depends on the person expressing it. My interest in this forum is limited, I don't even have a ti99, but I would have done well to contribute anyway. I belong to the set of users whose behavior I criticize. Having said that, it remains to be seen whether the opinion I expressed is valid or not.
  4. I still believe that the real problem is that companies buy for little money the content painstakingly created by users, and users let them do it. Ten thousand users could spend a dollar a month each to keep the forum, but they don't. It has already happened many times. I believe that this is one of the greatest processes of wealth theft since enclosures, and it is still the same phenomenon.
  5. These events always make me think: and all the people who have contributed, even economically, to the growth of these forums, what do they get? Give them back at least the money they donated, since they wanted to donate it to a community and not to Atari.
  6. Need minimemory http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/joytalk/joytalk.html
  7. I like the graphics of karateka, but I think that of the Japanese game is the most elegant. I also like the idea of Chinese shadows and I imagine hearing the screams of battle and the sounds of footsteps.
  8. This game for msx turns the limitation of the two colors into an interesting style. Maybe someone could make it in assembly on the ti99 and make it fast and smooth enough.

  10. A new game for spectrum: https://www.indieretronews.com/2023/05/seraphima-impressive-looking-game.html?m=1
  11. Perhaps it is easier to try to adapt the msx sprites than to color the black ones of the spectrum. https://www.spriters-resource.com/msx_msx2/bankpanic/sheet/142143/?source=genre
  12. you could contact the author (the Italian Marco Innocenti, https://jpking.itch.io/) and ask him if he intends to make a physical release.
  13. https://jpking.itch.io/a1rl0ck From readme: TI99/4A: Insert the game disk Choose wheter you want to play with 40 or 80 columns When prompted to insert game disk 2, just press a key The game is compatible with the TI-99/4A and Geneve 9640 computers. The minimum requirements for TI-99/4A are: 32K, Disk controller, and Extended BASIC cartridge. 80 column mode requires either an F18A or V9938 hardware enhancement. For the Geneve 9640 you need TIMODE (GPL) and the Extended BASIC cartridge files. You may use either the 40 column or V9938/58 option.
  14. I think that the top row of mountains should move more slowly.
  15. I see only gray and red halos that make you think of nightmares (brave browser).
  16. Bravo, sembra molto divertente!
  17. This version is much more interesting, and your observation makes me think that reproduction can also be a defense mechanism against aggression (i.e. it not only serves to perpetuate the species, but also to create a barrier made of weaker prey, which allows adult individuals to survive longer and, perhaps, learn).
