As we are at the layout now: maybe it is worth considering the possibility to add existing HW upgrades, like VBXE/Rapidus. Can they be applied if the chips are arranged this way? Just thinking.

What I wanted to say, is that it is not a scrolling game in the classic manner.

Just a sidenote: In rick dangerous, for the time of scrolling, the game logic is stopped.

What I wanted to say: with a purified frontend, you will get almost the same speed with this cartridge based interface, as if you connected to a real bbs (over serial). All the hardware exisits, all the software exists. The only task is to develop a stripped down html frontend.
