Well, shipping is free

Is it like tucking a child into bed at night? Pulling the blanket up to their chin and saying goodnight. I just liked the photos because, for the first time, I figured out what to do, lol. Education for me, soothing for you.

Mission (mostly) accomplished!! Thank goodness you attached photos. One sticks out a tiny bit, but not bad. It definitely required some index finger “encouraging” the cables to do what they are told. Now I don’t feel like such an idiot, yay!

OK, I'm new to Atari Age forums and I tried to be intentional to not go around advertising the system I just posted on eBay this week... but this thread specifically asks for it... so here we go. (This is interesting to me, but I'm new here so you decide if it is interesting to you). Let it be known, my first 12 posts in forums were NOT me trying to get the most money out of this sale: https://www.ebay.com/itm/INTELLIVISION-SUPER-PRO-SYSTEM-INTV-System-III-Cleaned-Tested-Works/293337803754?hash=item444c4babea:g:XN8AAOSwCgld0y-L I hope that link works, it is eBay item 293337803754. This is an IntelliVision Super Pro System I found at a thrift store in Phoenix, AZ a couple weeks ago. It was filthy dirty and I had no clue if it would work. I cleaned it up a little and tested it, it worked! (All I had was Frogger to test, so I couldn't test every button on the controllers.) A day AFTER I posted it on eBay, I learned about the Tutorvision thanks to a YouTube video by Lathe26. The video pointed out seeing the board through the bottom vents of a Super Pro and I clearly remembered that was the case with mine. I jumped into this forum to ask people smarter than myself: Apparently, this horribly neglected thrift store find had some of the Tutorvision components inside! (I didn't even know what that meant until this week.) I will post a couple pictures here, but there are a ton more in the linked conversation while trying to determine what I have, I will try to update the eBay description posting to be as accurate as I can. If you find this interesting, there are 7 days left on the eBay post. Please DO NOT take my word for it, look at the pictures yourself. I am not qualified to tell you what I have, and I have an interest in this selling for more money (any profit here will be invested into my NES collection). Whoever wins this bid in the end, I hope it is someone who appreciates this for what it is. Also, if anyone has any questions, please let me know. I will be monitoring the forum I linked above probably more than this one. I want to share as much information on this piece as I can before it sells in a week.

I had to look up internet photos of the IntelliVision to even have a guess, and I thought that was probably the proper direction (I tried staging my photos as if I knew what I was doing, but we're being honest here). Does the cable fold under the controller in the tray, or does it get pushed into the center void between the controllers?

OK, not to take away from people double-checking the chips, but I have a serious rookie question here. Is there a specific way to deal with the cords while trying to put the controllers away. I feel like I'm working with 10 thumbs and can't figure out how to get them put away properly... I've gotta be doing it wrong.

The Official Intellivision Serial Number Database
Alfguin replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I just submitted a Super Pro System to the database, number A8906. As a heads up, I’m not keeping the system. I got it at a thrift store in Phoenix AZ, filthy dirty after years of apparent neglect. I cleaned and tested it, and it worked! After listing it for sale on eBay a couple days ago, I came across some forums like this one. I decided to share as much info as I can before it sells in a few days. If the purchaser registers it here, feel free to omit my information; I just wanted it known this one is out there functional (and apparently with some of the Tudorvision components...I learned a lot this week ). -

I'm new to this and, quite frankly, I'm not even an IntelliVision collector at all. I just saw this thread and thought y'all might be interested in a fun thrift store find. A couple weeks ago I found a horribly dirty Super Pro System for $25 at a thrift store. The thing looked like it had been neglected for many years (there were dried up old pine needles INSIDE the console when I opened it up at home, wish I had taken before and after photos). I am new to the casual hobby of NES collecting, so I thought it would be fun to try to clean it up and sell it to someone who could appreciate it for what it is, and invest any potential profit into my NES collection. I had no idea if it would work, but after cleaning it up I plugged in the only game it was packaged with, Frogger, and it worked just fine. Both controllers worked and I played Frogger with my kids; I had never played an IntelliVision until that moment. A few days ago, one day after I posted it on eBay for sale, I came across a YouTube video by Lathe26, briefly explaining the Tutorvision. I found this forum and hopped in to ask about what I had found, my contribution started on page 11 I think. After a little research, apparently my Super Pro System has several of the Tutorvision components: I am still going to let the system sell on eBay this week because I don't have space or even a proper setup for this system in my home, and I barely started casual retro game collecting as it is. That being said, once I realized just how cool this piece of history is, I definitely considered cancelling the auction and angering everyone who has already bid for the item. At a minimum, I have a respect and a little personal collection to the IntelliVision today that I didn't have a few weeks ago. I will add a few photos in this post, I added a ton of photos in the other post while I was trying to figure out what I had. -
OK, definitely double check the components and let me know if I photographed everything necessary. After double checking, I want to make sure I have the correct list of what is/isn't a Tudorvision component.

These instructions are helpful, and I am SO GLAD I didn't ruin anything the first time. When I first opened it, I removed the screws and pulled off the top lid, having no idea there were wires connected and no idea the "glamour cap" needed removal. The adhesive on the "glamour cap" was long since dried up, so that popped off on its own and I think I would have pulled hard enough to disconnect the wire, but I slowed down when I realized the controllers would need to be fed through. *whew*

You all pointed out a few things I wouldn’t know what to look for, like controller plastic, so I’m going to spam you with photos of just about everything here. I also took a better pic of the sticker showing Made in USA.

OK, I was able to open it back up and take pictures of the chips. It looks like the ROM chip is RO09580/P586.

OK, I greatly appreciate that several of you are actively monitoring this thread still. I was not able to make time today to open the system up, but I expect I will be able to do so tomorrow. I will try to take pictures of the chips, and will look for the ones you mentioned. Hopefully more photos posted tomorrow. Lathe26, I am especially glad you are still active on this thread. Your YouTube video from a year ago titled "Tutorvision games on real hardware" is something I stumbled across yesterday and it was the first I learned of all this, and shortly after I read this thread and signed up with AtariAge so I could add information. When I do figure out what I actually have in my system, do I have your permission to mention your video in my details description of my eBay posting? I want to be as informative as possible in my post; the buyer should know exactly what they are getting. I'm pretty excited to know more myself. Intvsteve, glad I got 'em using it correctly! Believe it or not, shortly after getting home with this a couple weeks ago from the thrift store (in its filthy dirty state) I opened it up to give it a simple cleaning inside and out. After putting it back together, I fired it up and it worked right away... and I belive at this point it was the first time in my life I ever played an IntelliVision. The very first time I played on this console, I was playing with my kids, and I had already pulled it apart and put it back together. I was confused that the left controller seemed like it should be the first player (and indeed was when we played Frogger), but the right controller had the wear marks on the disc; usually the first controller gets the most use on a system. I'm a newbie here, just trying to appreciate what is in front of me
