For those of you keeping track of values: Death Trap complete $73.77 London Blitz $36.01 Master Builder $42.00 Stargunner (color) $27.89 Montezuma's Revenge $36.99 I don't know if these prices are appropriate or not because I don't have alot of experience selling such rare games. I was expecting more in some places and less in others, but I am certainly satisfied (especially because the bidders are all well-known and trustworthy).

Yep, arrived today.

Hey! Black 2600 console will be sent out tomorrow. I'll pull one out tonight and test/clean it for you.

Heh, yep. But I pay about a thousand dollars a month in shipping anyway... so I'd never notice. Please let me know if you ever find any... I looked tonight, no go.

Yes, eBay is the best answer I think. However, the sega genesis (or master) controllers are a great suggestion too. I buy them for $2.99 a pair at Toys R Us. There was a recent warehouse find of new gemstick controllers that can be had on eBay for about $10 a pair. They are good because they are new and they have the retro look. keyboard controllers again Gemstick Controllers I mentioned PS ~ none of the above auctions are mine. edit: I can't spell. OMG! I just read your last sentence (thought it was a signature line). YES!! That's it!! HA! you found it thank you! Now, my christmas present to me is buying this game! (Watch it'll be mega rare...) Heh, thanks again... Now, I know why it looked so much like Ikari Warriors...
-
No, but those were all VERY close. I see now that this was a rather difficult question to answer and I appreciate the effort you went through. Thanks. It seems like you were fighting mosters... as the creature I couldn't pass was a thing that you had to use super grenades to throw in its mouth... which wasn't always open... AAAARGH! Why can't I remember???

Heh, I need to get one of those TVs for my store... kind of a dorky vectrex. They got those on eBay?
-
I have no idea what you're talking about...
-
Heh Would like to trade for spare stickers... willing to offer ANYTHING in this list. We'd need to work out the details... greatgames4u@aol.com

It depends on condition, game selection, and your reputation. Currently I am getting $56 - $88 (plus $15 shipping) for a system and 10 common games. Edit: Those are for eBay auctions though... not sure what the atariage message board equivalent would be? Some crazy person was offering the same deal for $32 on here earlier... I got an Intellivision I and demo cart for $10.00 on ebay. (sold demo cart for $75.00) I got Chase the Chuckwagon with 120 other games (many rare) and atari 2600 system on eBay for $125.00. I got 12 Ninja Gaiden and 5 Warbirds sealed Lynx games for $17.00 on eBay (they have/are selling for $25 to $45 each). I got a genesis with 20 RPG games including Shining Force 1 & 2, Shining in the Darkness, Herzog Zwei, Beyond Oasis, Sword of Vermilion, and Phantasy Star 2-4 for $20.00 on eBay (made a couple hundred on that one). I bought the stock of a video store for $1400 on eBay. It included 2000 beta movies and 600 NES games. Highlights include a sealed Action 52 and another 60 sealed games. I still have about 150 of the NES games, but I made several thousand dollars on that deal. I bought 34 sealed copies of Pac Man and 12 sealed copies of Ms Pac Man (all namco) for $10.00 each. I still have 16 Pac Mans left. They are averaging about $30.00 each now. THE WORST: I paid $800.00 for a "supposedly" new collection of 40 nintendo systems (NES & SNES). They were supposed to have been used once for a nintendo exhibition in Ohio in 1990 and stored ever since... well, they showed up broken, severely abused, and many systems had goodwill price tags on them. Overall though, I am very successful on eBay.

Heh, no. I even emailed her too. I figured either someone else emailed her (without posting) and offered a free one or it wasn't that important to her afterall. I hope she got a better deal though.

The only way to sell multiple copies of pacman, missle command, etc. Is to wait for someone to begin production of a new game. They use the carts... I have 4 banana boxes full of just combat.
-
Combat River Raid Defender Centipede Millipede Breakout & Super Breakout Missle Command Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr Ms Pac Man Pac Man Jr Mario Bros Frogger Frogger 2 Midnight Magic Pitfall Pitfall 2 Star Wars Empire BMX Air Master These are all the carts in my personal collection. They are the only games I like to play on the 2600. Please don't think I only pick the common games that I can find... if you check my eBay auctions here you'll see that I have many rare games. I also have over 1000 common carts, but I hope to liquidate them all before 12/15.

Actually, my favorite is the 6 Switch Store display. I loved mine. My wife accidentally mailed it with an Atari auction I sold on eBay last December by accident... The person who got it didn't answer my emails offering to pay for its return. I also like the Gemini ~ not sure why though...

Make sure your using a good RF switch. Make sure the switch is turned to computer/game. Make sure the connections are tight. Make sure the channel switch on the atari and the tv channel are the same. Clean the game you're using to test with alcohol on a qtip (even if works with another Atari). Make sure the wall socket has power (heh, that happened to me last night... /shrug). Ok, if you are absolutely positive it is none of these things. Then you can clean the Atari to game connection in the Atari with alcohol on a qtip. If that doesn't work, I usually put the Atari in my spare parts bin and get another...

Ben, Thank you.

Zero, you are bidding on some of my auctions (unless there is another ze-ro guy). If you win any of them, I'll send you a keyboard controller for free. (Do you need 2?) edit: Heh, it sounds like a marketing ploy - that was unintentional. If you don't win, I'll send you one for shipping cost only. [ 12-01-2001: Message edited by: sway3 ]

Here is my question: quote Anyone have the answer? Thanks
-
The two variations are distinguished by the 2 labels? Red being the rare and white being the more common? I just got the Red Label version and have never gotten it before... It looks exactly like the one pictured on the rarity guide here. (minus the black marker) I actually have purchased another one too... but it might be PAL. (not arrived yet) Sorry if this is a dumb question. What confuses me is that both of my copies (white and red) say TNT on them... Thanks!
-
Yeah, I thought about that. That's why I wanted to offer those two deals at cost. I have wanted to do a couple systems for eBay's charity auctions, but I have a problem with my billpoint account... I REALLY regret missing AtariAge's charity auctions... I meant to contribute, but just missed the submission date. edit: rewrite [ 11-30-2001: Message edited by: sway3 ]

Got the emails and responded. I can also create a "buy it now" auction for you on eBay so you could have some additional security buying from me since I'm new to these message boards. We'd just have to coordinate it so that you could get the bid quickly as it wouldn't last. Anyway, glad I could support the AtariAge community a little. So far the only other thing I have been able to contribute were the box scans for Death Trap. For those of you considering putting some items on eBay for the holiday, here are sway3's Hints o' the Day: PICTURES! Lots of pictures! Clean clear description. List everything! Do not use BUY IT NOW - not until after 12/15. (and then only because you need a quick sale for shipping) Accept automatic payments - paypal, billpoint, and/or billpay. This concludes sway3's Hints o' the Day.
-
Well, we get more bidders - and usually only the newest bidders pay the high prices so they have a better chance of winning - since experienced eBayers avoid peak times and bidding wars (mostly). Non-paying bidders are almost always new bidders. I am happy to say though that the $560.00 auction winner has contacted me and agreed to send payment this week.

I can handle both of your requests. Michelle, I can give you (EDIT). EDIT: Unfortunately this deal is no longer available. I Lemmi, I'll give you a Black Vader for $15.00 and shipping if you like. You can probably find one cheaper than that, but that is pretty much my cost around here. [ 12-14-2001: Message edited by: sway3 ]
