Well done by Jacob on this one. I was thinking it was timed too early, but we can in fact be playing Dracula on Halloween itself! As well as Skiing, which is arguably a scarier game.

15,350 - hard Can't say that hard is all that different than medium. Got hosed by control glitches and a hyperactive cop right at the gates. Think he got me 5 times? Highest number of people I managed to clear for bonus was 19, probably could squeeze out a few more, but starting to press against dawn at that point.

Yep, that's why I stopped after I hit the prior record. It's just very, very boring since you're only making around 1k points per day at most once you get past the point where the bonus is possible. @Rickster8... thus my prediction I was only getting +1 bonus on this one. ?

Play on a lower slope to get used to it. 15 requires you to have it very memorized and will be frustrating to just jump in on.

It's not that, it just feels "off" like it's not rendering every frame or something. Mostly though, I think I just need to start out slower until I have the course fully memorized again. I recall this being a game of inches and whether you setup for a gate at a 1/8th or 1/16th angle being huge, so I know we were playing it with that kind of fidelity when we were playing over and over again. For now, I'll settle for a run where I hit fewer trees.

Hard to say exactly what it's doing, but it's not remotely as smooth as I remembered it being on the console. I'm definitely finding myself having difficulty setting up for the gates, but that could just be the older-than-dirt, no-reflexes thing. 15 is a pretty aggressive slope. Going to take me a while to remember the course. ?

Nice! This was another family favorite of ours, will be fun to get back into it, haven't played the original version in many, many years.

Dunno. On the one hand, I only played that last game because Dreadnaught Factor was annoying me so much. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure 100k is doable, and my last game didn't end satisfyingly, so we'll see. ?

Not saying we don't play a 2nd version of a game, even in the same season, just preferably not on the exact same week. I'd like to see us mix in more 'unusual' games for HSC bonus like Football (highest score, or widest win margin), or a timed run on Tarmin, etc, so it doesn't have to be the usual suspects. As far as Utopia goes, no magic to it just need to read that thread in the programming forum and understand how the scoring works.... ?

Suggestion for consideration: Bonus games should not be for the same game as the main game on a given week. I don't mean to create extra work for the moderator, but it's fun to have another game to play just for yucks as we did with Utopia. It's less fun to slog through the same game again like Dracula on hard. I'm totally fine also playing Dracula on hard, but would recommend it be deferred to a future week/season. So the next time an idea pops up like level 7 on Dreadnaught Factor, just note it's a good idea and file it away for future reference. I'm fine with a 'split' week like with Auto Racing, with even weight to both courses, since someone might be frustrated by a specific course.

If the controls actually worked, I wouldn't mind. But the only shot at the bonus past day 20 or so is to be constantly boosting in bat form and you can't assume the game will accept your input when you try to get out of it. ?

It's +1 because that score isn't going to stand. One of you weirdos is going to break that since it can be played indefinitely, but that's all for me. Those later days are really painful (physically and mentally) at 700-1000 points per day with no hope of bonus. ?

23,550 - medium Okay, that's all for me. Got my +1 for breaking the prior record, so have at it, guys. Going to break my controller if I play this one anymore. As with several games, this one suffers from difficulty plateau. If you can survive day 1, you can survive day X. Couple that with the control issues and it no longer being possible to hit the bonus past a certain number of days and.... yeah. Done. Probably a very fun 2 player game with the zombies and all, but meh for single player high score competition.

That's what's killing my thumb on this one. I just automatically press harder when it won't move, or wriggle back and forth. Odd a game with such limited and slow-paced controls would wind up being as bad on the hands as fast shooter.

I definitely find myself pressing harder than usual on the controls on this one. Almost like it isn't always recognizing input or something. Accuracy is fine when it works, but then Dracula will just sit there like an idiot for a bit, then move again. I'll have to pay closer attention, but maybe it's only recognizing 8 instead of 16 direction input and when you hit those 16th angles, it's just ignoring it? Anyone try with a regular game pad?

Make sure to get back to bed each night. Stick in the area near the graveyard (no more than 1-2 screens away) starting at 4am and head straight there as soon as the sky changes. Do NOT chase that one last dude when 5am rolls around. That's called 'ending your game' ? Other than that, you can make pretty frequent use of bat form in the first few days to swoop down on runners. From 7 days onward, think of bat form as more of a 1sec turbo boost, do not stay in it long.
