  1. just a short query here as there are atari techie guys here - a query brought to my attention does the 2600 run faster the hotter it gets? some person says pong get faster the longer its played due to console getting hotter... this is illogical to all other things i know but since the atari specific hardware is't my area, i thought i'd ask i had a 2600 once myself but the games i had never ran any faster so it kinda seems strange to me unless pong coded that way
  2. sorry for delays, they were unavoidable, my pc was broke for a month so things were delayed the 'voting' word error is corrected and there is one atari game up, dr beep's were up as soon as the page was because he directly sent me the files
  3. small note, people may of presumed "So and so voted this way", but it was not that clear cut, if people had seen the actual name -to-votes, they would of seen that the vote to comments comparision could't be used, as some voted but no comments, other commented but did't vote, there was no true tally, but don't worry something else will be used this year
  4. well it'll be officially 3 months+the 1 1/2 as i announced it early january, but previously, the compo has lasted about 3 months in total including 4k games, i thought this would be a long time, but there could be other reasons for a lower turn out... time? other compos(with prizes)? difficulty thinking of new things to do? etc
  5. i hate it when some people vote with a alternative motive, like only their own platform, but as long as its real votes, this does't necessary help them, but to those trying to vote rig... come on, 1-2 games at 9-10 and the others voted for at 2-3, how do they realistically expected that to be taken serious! unfortunately this is why the results take time - manual counting but i'm hoping this year out of other years, more games get a even amount of votes, with the seperated voting time slots, so fewer games to mark in one go
  6. technically not, it is meant to be different, though a follow on could be done, but it does come down to you really, try something different or more of the same, you are't garenteed anything really with regards to votes... myself i've produced a frogger game and a bomber game in the past... two totally different types, neither really scored well, but was a improvement over the last, which i think is the best you can try to do
  7. yes you can submit as many different games as you like, just producing the same game for two systems counts only as one game, i don't know if ever this was done, but its always been part of the rules as far as i know
  8. thanks i'm glad the new system is liked technically the 1k will of runned for 4 months
