  1. I have a non backlit screen on my GBA SP. I've just tried a game in it for the first time tonight, and the screen looks absolutley shit. It's really washed out and hard to see. Turning the light off just makes it worse. I felt so disappointed and I wish I hadn't bought it now, money is really tight at the moment. I can also see faint black bars in the screen too. I did think there must be a fault with my GBA, because if it's normal for the screens to be like this, then I cannot see how it could've sold well at all. I'm sure it's fully charged too. But when I had a look on the Internet, it seems like it's normal for the games to look washed out and for it to be hard to see them. As far as I remember, when I played on an Atari Lynx, the screen on it looked no where near as bad as the screen on this. So basically, what I'd like to ask is, is this normal? Or do I have a broken GBA SP? Thanks.
  2. Does anyone know if NTSC games still work on PAL GBA SP's? Thanks.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rugVNPqqsjc Someone commented on the video and said 'wow... what an odd review' I asked him why he thought that, but he never answered. I'm really curious about why the review is odd.
  4. Atari Anthology. Really surprised to see 'courtesy of Atariage' under some of the scans.
  5. I'll go for the PSOne one then, I really like the fact that Moon Patrol is on it as well. I already have Midway Arcade Treasures 1 for the PS2, and I should be recieving Atari Anthology today.
  6. I'll look out for the PS1 one then. *Edit* I've just spotted Midway Arcade Hits Vol 2 for the Dreamcast on ebay. I'll have to look into it and see if that one will definatley have Burger Time on it. As I'd prefer the Dreamcast version.

So... an Intellivision gamer? Haven't seen you in our neck of the woods...

  8. Great to see you here, man.

  9. Awsome game. I don't think I can even get 5,000 though.
  10. Arcade TAC SCAN got an official home release on only two systems. Atari 2600 and PS2. Guess which one is a close rendition to the Arcade. Its on the NTSC Sega Genesis compilation as an unlock, should also be on your PAL Sega Mega drive compilation. Get a SmartJoyFrag and enjoy the game with a Spinner mod! Yeah, I've unlocked it. I find it really hard though.
  11. Lol, yup. I've realised though that if I have no lives left, and I remember to quickly exit out of the game as soon as I'm killed, just before the game over screen comes up, then my score will get saved. Still a bit of a pain to have to do it that way though. I don't think the people must've spent much time testing this game.
  12. I don't consider myself a collector as I don't buy games to collect. I only buy games to play. And if I do end up with a game that I end up not liking, then I'll sell it, or even just give it away. I have amased a 'collection' though, and it does feel very nice to know that I have it and to look at it.
  13. Not sure if this is the best forum to post this, but I have the PS2 version of Intellivision Lives. When a game ends and I get the game over screen, and I exit out of the game, the screen doesn't come up where you enter your initials, and the score doesn't get saved. It only seems to save your scores if you exit out of the game while you're still playing it. Which is a bit useless. I've looked in the manual, but it only seems to say that if you get the game over screen, then start a new game, your high score wont be saved. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
  14. I haven't got around to playing Tower of Doom yet. I've never played on the original hardware, but some games do kinda feel a bit slow. Anyway, I was having a lot of fun on Shark Shark and Thunder Castle last night.
  15. Here's my very small retro game compilation collection. But obviously I plan on buying more.
  16. I love the cover art for Intellivision Lives, much better than the one we have over here in the UK. Not that the UK one looks bad or anything. But at least a free art card comes with Taito Legends over here.
  17. It's the PS2 version. I'm currently trying to get all of the retro compilations for it.
  18. Okay, I haven't bought any original hardware, but I have bought myself a copy of Intellivision Lives for the PS2 and I'm really enjoying it! I think I'm starting to become a bit of an Intellivision fan.
  19. Really looking forard to playing Intellivision lives later. :)

      Maybe I will. :)

  20. I guess most people really don't care about the cases and manuals that much. Hard to believe, but there you go. I hate it even if the manual is missing from a game.
  21. Anyone know the difference between Namco Museum and Namco Museum 50th Anniversary?
