Yah the SD card works I did test it. But it don't seam to read any SD cards. I also thought it might have been a bad card slot so I replaced it as well and still don't work

Your post is confusing but test the SD card on a reader or interface you know works to make sure it's not bad. I've had a couple go bad for no known reason.
I believe the sd card is good it did work but now it's not working

Hi there I had this Sega Genesis Portable from ATGames for a little while now and I just want to play it again. I had an SD card in it and wanted to play a game off of and I can't seem to get it to work. funny thing is that it was just working the other day.
Maybe the sdcard reader is bad or something?
Also I replaced the card reader and I believe it's in right. Maybe it's it processer or something?

As we all know these ATGames Sega Genesis Portable had bad sound. Is there a way to fix it?
Yes... but I need help. I know about the neto boot loader works. But dose the sound fix apply to all the games on your sd card or just the ones that were built in? Iv been trying different version of this thing and it seems to work on Sonic and Shinobi. Iv also tried putting Earthworm Jim on this and we'll it has the same problem, the sound is off. Now dose anyone know if it's just the console it's self or is there a way to fix it ?

The game list in that video is different than what I’m seeing for the Coleco Sonic and the PlayPal. I was really impressed that it included Putt & Putter, but that’s not on the other units like this.
EDIT: there are only 20 games on the Sonic and PlayPal units vs 30 on the AtGames unit, and the difference represent some of the best highlights of the Game Gear library. I wouldn’t settle for anything less than the AtGames unit after seeing that.
Yes I'm looking to find one of those. I recently picked up a ATGames Sega Genesis Portable witch was pretty similar. These ones tho are hard to find for a decent price. Most are 40/50$.

I know exactly what that is, I had one like 15 years ago more or less. That thing later came out again, re-issued by both Blaze(UK) and ATGames(US) as the Arcade Gamer Portable. Specifically the latest release had the long winded name of the Sega Master System & Sega Game Gear Arcade Gamer Portable. Runs on a couple batteries, has exceptional battery life, and the real kicker which is great given the age, the emulation is accurate. Unlike all the other trash ATGames handhelds (and consoles) running the Genesis, the SMS/GG one isn't a dumpster fire of problems. I still have the SMS+GG handheld here, keep it in my desk for random use.
I can't speak to the hardware if it's compatible or not, maybe our resident ATGames rep may have someone he can poke a stick at and ask, but if the new one uses the same cheap chinese sourced parts maybe tech sheet could be found to get an idea what a compatible LCD panel would be.
I liked the Coleco one when I was a kid and I had no idea that they rereleased it. I might have to look into getting one of those. I like this handhald because of the name. Coleco was a pretty big company in the 80/90s and made alot of good arcade ports. Also the game are pretty fun and I enjoy it.

Just counting it definitely has more then 25 pins. It has 40 pins

Hay guys this may be a weird topic but maybe someones in the same vote as me. I have a Coleco Sonic with a missing screen. If you don't know what a Coleco Sonic is it's basically a handheld mini with 20 sega master system/Game Gear games on it. It's a pretty cool little system. I just need a new screen for this thing. Maybe someone can help me find one or knows more about it then me. I think the connector has 25 pins.
Heres the original screen

I did end up figureing out what to do. Heres a video I fallowed and it worked.

I do realize that now and I'm trying to go through that process and it a job ... Lol lucky if it doesn't work I got another one ?

Which ps3 do you have? I believe only the later model ps3 slims (or super slims) allows swapping out the entire drive.
Custom firmware is the only way to remarry a drive to a motherboard.
It's to original fat model
-
Ok just got a PS3 that don't play disc. Thinking I can just swap a disc drive I bought it but unknowing that you need to keep the one motherboard for they are married with the main board.... So I'm in a pickle now I do believe that someone was messing around with this before and maybe swapped the disc drive and not the daughter border with it... So is there any work around this or it's it just a waist of time ?

Yah they had a mess of it all around the sides of both the cpu and GPU. I did my best to clean it off but it's possible that I got under the heat shield and on some components underneath. But I do appreciate your help and hope we can find a solution ?
-
And don't worry I tryed replaceing the powerswitch mother board also with a known good one. Didn't fix anything either
-
Well yah unfortunately it doesn't matter if the fans on it or not it still dose the same thing. Idk if the clock battery has anything to do with it but it may be bad or something I really don't know. I'm still leaning towards the cpu shorted out with thermal paste somehow.
-
I'm felling like it's something to do with the cpu being shorted out or something. It wolnt even turn on like when I press the button to start it it just stays red. If I shut it off with the shitch in back the standby light comes on and beeps . And it won't do anything else. Every now and then it might go to the green light after turning the back switch on then goes back the the red. I also have acuble spire power supply. It also duse the same thing with them.
-
How should I test that? And why wold that cause that issue ?
-
Ok I just got a PS3 60g fat model on eBay knowing it was faulty. The issue that was stated was "PS3 falty no power" witch was the case at first. I then opened it up and took a look inside seeing if there was anything obvious. I noticed that it was been opened previously and someone has replaced the thermal paste. They didn't do s good job it was a mess. I cleaned the majority of the thermal paste off the board and... The red light comes on and beeps 3 times as you plug it in. The power button doesn't do anything when pressed it just a still red light.
Anyone out there have any ideas?

I did figure out what was wrong with the tg.
It was the HUc6270 chip witch I got from this website Hong Kong game doctor. http://www.gamedoctorhk.com/
-
The only reason I'm asking is cuz I got a PC engine motherboard but no case to put it in.
-
Ok thanks man
-
Oo do you know how much one would cost ?
-
What's the rbg mod do? Like dose it replace the chip or is it like a by pass?
